A Plot
It's summertime at Degrassi and while school hasn't started, the drama is at an all time high. Some Degrassi students are off to Paris for the summer's educational program, and others are staying behind to help with Degrassi Day Camp. Maya is heading to Paris with her new bestie Tristan, and coming along is Zoe, an actress from the Show Within a Show, West Drive. Not only do Zoe and Maya not hit it off, but Maya is also straining against her mother's rules and curfew. Zoe invites Tristan (and by extension Maya) to a concert, which Maya doesn't get into due to her young looks. Luckily for her, Miles is hanging outside and lets her in backstage but she gets into it with Zoe and Zoe stamps on her foot, causing her to spill water on the sound equipment, stopping the concert.Maya and her friends are thrown in concert jail which Miles's father bails them out from. Miles gives Maya his debit card in order to get a cab home. Maya comes in late, and her mother catches and she is very worried about her actions as of late and doesn't think she should go to Paris. Maya tells her mom that she hates her and goes back out.
B Plot
Clare is anxiously awaiting her biopsy results, and missing Eli who's in New York being a production assistant. Alli and Jenna suggest that Clare spice up the relationship with video-chat sex. During some pretty awkward videochat sex, Clare's mother interrupts with some bad news from the hospital: the lump on Clare's back is cancerous. Clare breaks the news to Eli, and Eli wants to immediately be by Clare's side, but Clare tells him she'll be OK and he can't get his dream job.
