Munakata and Makoto set off to have their final confrontation. A big revelation about Chisa is made. Asahina finds Kirigiri's notebook and finds out who is the killer.


  • Armor-Piercing Response: When Munakata asks Makoto how he would feel if he discovered the one he loved was a Despair, Makoto responds that while he would be upset, he would still be happy that he met her. This ultimately causes Munakata to realize that Makoto truly is everything he says he is and Munakata is the one going about everything wrong.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Confirmed that the Chisa in Side:Future was never cured of the despair she had in Side:Despair.
  • Cliffhanger: No less than two.
    • Asahina stating she knows who the killer is.
    • What happened to the group on Jabberwock Island.
    • The survivor count is pointing at one person more than it should.
  • Cute and Psycho: Chisa is confirmed to be this. She not only killed a group of kids, she also kept photos incriminating herself so one day Munakata would find them out and fall in despair.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Munakata.
  • Manly Tears: Both Makoto and Munakata cry in this episode.
  • Moral Event Horizon: While it's the only thing we know she did and there is certainly more, Chisa slaughtered a bunch of kids.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Munakata finally realizes that he has gone too far and has this reaction.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: A very brutal one from Munakata to Naegi.
  • Skyward Scream: Munakata does this after receiving a speech from Naegi.
  • The Stinger: A sole ship is leaving Jabberwock Island for parts unknown.
  • Talking the Monster to Death: Makoto finally manages to talk Munakata out of his rampage.
  • Take Up My Sword: Kirigiri leaves her notebook, which Asahina finds out, seems to include the identity of the attacker.
  • Wham Line:
    Asahina: The Killing is over! I know who the attacker is!
  • Wham Shot: The photo of Chisa smiling in front of the bodies of the kids with the words "It was me <3" written in pink.
