Tropes
- Actor Allusion: This wasn't the first time Matthew Lillard was a part of a serial killer duo.
- Interservice Rivalry: Sort of. The FBI softball team apparently hasn't won against the Secret Service team in five years.
- Kick the Dog: The younger UnSub was caught abusing a dog. A young man stepped in and stopped him from killing the dog.
- Rule of Two: It turns out that the killer has an older mentor, who is teaching him how to kill.
- Shout-Out: Several characters in this episode are named after characters from The Bad News Bears.
- Reid: "The greatest good you can do for another, is not just to share your own riches, but to reveal to him, his own." Benjamin Disraeli.
