Nothing says "Australia" like a kangaroo warning sign.

A waiter named Daniel Taylor is reported dead in the attic of his aunt's house.

Tropes:

  • Basement-Dweller: The victim lived inside his aunt's attic, though he did have a job.
  • Bland-Name Product: One of the killer's traits is that they wear Alligators, a parody of Crocs.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Daniel was killed with a poisonous plant that, according to Nathan, provokes hallucinations, headaches, blurred speech, and if the victim cannot seek help in time, constricts the lungs until they asphyxiate.
  • Foreshadowing:
  • If I Can't Have You…: Lily killed Daniel because he wanted to leave Grimsborough with or without her, and she was decided to stay.
Lily: Daniel and I were soulmates! How COULD he decide to leave without me?! How could I let him go?!
He wanted to travel, well... I helped him go on the last journey. The ultimate one.
  • Land Down Under: Where Daniel planned to start his Walking the Earth journey.
  • Mrs. Robinson: Gertrude Piccadilly, who is 38, was in love with Daniel, who was 25. Ironically, Daniel's actual, same-age as him girlfriend has Robinson as her last name.
  • Nephewism: Daniel had been entirely raised by his aunt Victoria.
  • Parting-Words Regret: Victoria regrets all the things she said about her nephew after his death, asking you to find her old photos of him so she can find peace.
  • Raised by Grandparents: Lily, the victim's girlfriend, was raised by her grandmother.
  • Running Gag: Once again, a murder call interrupts you and Jones from having lunch.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Title Drop: Twice: the victim was killed with a fictional plant called Ultimum Viaticum, also known as the Final Journey, and his girlfriend's Motive Rant for the murder mentions that she wanted to give him his last journey.
  • Walking the Earth: This is what the victim wanted to do, since he didn't see any point staying in a city like Grimsborough. His girlfriend, however, wanted them to stay, and killed him before he could leave.
