Right after being promoted to the Financial Center, the player is tasked with solving the murder of Samuel Rye, a stock trader found disemboweled in the stock market center.

- Ambition Is Evil: What Brooke and Kate think of every stock trader. Later in the case, Jones ends up agreeing with them.Brooke: But if you ask me, all stock traders look the same: a bunch of psychopaths in nice suits.Jones: Jeez, how come stock traders are so creepy? Kate was right, they come across as soulless.
- Crucified Hero Shot: How Samuel was found. Unlike the victim in Case 7, Samuel was hung to a pair of monitors instead of using a cross.
- Disproportionate Retribution: The victim constantly bragged about a new deal he'd made with the wealthy Alden Greene. His rival's response? Disembowel him and hang him up on display.
- Green-Eyed Monster: Harry killed Samuel because the latter had been selected as Alden Greene's new stock trader instead of him.
- Gutted Like a Fish: The murderer used a katana to kill the victim like this.
