A perfect view for dinner.

Chief King sends Jones and the player to investigate the death of Anton Levin, head of the Russian mafia and killed inside his own restaurant, before his henchmen start provoking chaos for revenge.

Tropes:

  • Absurdly Spacious Sewer: Jones and the player investigate one after Bart tells them he saw someone drop a bunch of stuff in it.
  • Abusive Parents: Anton to Mikhail.
  • Archnemesis Dad: Even before finding out his father was having an affair with his girlfriend, it's clear that Anton and Mikhail were in bad terms from the beginning.
Mikhail: My father and I didn't get along. He never considered me worthy of anything. I bet that old bastard regrets not having me by his side, now.
  • Asshole Victim: Apart from being the boss of a mafia, the victim was also abusive towards his own son and even got his son's girlfriend pregnant. It's really hard to feel sorry for his death.
  • Call-Back: Ash Bison, a suspect in the first case, is mentioned. Apparently, he's trying to stop The Vipers' leader Salvador Cordero from starting a street war with The Skulls, another gang in the Industrial Area.
  • Cut Himself Shaving: Dimitri gives this explanation for the scars on the side of his face when the player and Jones question him.
  • A Deadly Affair: Mikhail murders his own father when he finds out Anton was having an affair with his girlfriend.
  • The Don: Anton was the leader of the Russian Mafiya.
  • The Food Poisoning Incident: After the case is solved, Jones and the player go to investigate Dimitri's restaurant on the account of multiple food poisoning reports. However, these end up being false.
Grace: I've got some good news! The food samples you gave me are clean!
Jones: Dammit! I can't believe this obnoxious douchebag is getting out of trouble again!
  • Foreign Cussword: Mikhail calls his late father a "svoloch", which is Russian for "bastard".
  • I Have No Son!: Anton did not have a good relationship with his son Mikhail; so much so, in fact, that he had already disowned the younger man prior to the start of the case. However, when interrogated, Mikhail claims that he didn't care about being disowned, since he had already come to hate his father anyway.
  • Improvised Weapon: The murder weapon is a meat tenderizer.
  • The Informant: Bart Williams from the previous case returns to give you more leads about the murder, such as the mysterious figure dropping a bunch of stuff inside the sewer or letting you know Mikhail was aware of his girlfriend's affair with his father.
  • The Mafiya: The victim was the leader of the Russian mafia, and is up to the player to find out who killed him before his goons start "investigating" on their own.
  • Red Herring: Throughout the case, you find multiple evidence of illicit business activities between Marconi, head of the Italian mafia, and Dimitri, one of Anton's henchmen, leading you to believe one of them killed Anton before he could interfere between them. But nope, the killer ends up being his son for totally unrelated reasons to Marconi and Dimitri's business.
  • Self-Made Orphan: Anton's killer ends up being his own son.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Surprise Pregnancy: Eva Coleman becomes pregnant with Anton Levin's child, prompting Mikhail, Eva's boyfriend and Anton's son, to murder him.
  • Tap on the Head: Lethal example; the victim was killed by being repeatedly struck with a meat tenderizer on the head.
