- Dramatically Missing the Point: Dream!Akopian keeps trying to tell Rebecca that plenty of people love her in unromantic ways. Rebecca thinks that this means that Akopian is missing the point, which is that she's depressed specifically because no one loves her in a romantic way. In reality, Rebecca is the one repeatedly missing Akopian's actual point, which is that Rebecca shouldn't be so hung up on romance as the be-all-end-all of her life and learn to appreciate what she's got instead.
- Reset Button: Last episode revealed that Rebecca was functionally bankrupt, her car was repossessed, and she pawned a family heirloom as the only way to get money. This episode, there's a brief moment where she finds a bonus check and mentions "I'm not broke anymore". Despite this happening in a dream, it's apparently still real, because she immediately goes back to her reckless spending habits, and
her financial problems never seem to come up again.
