B Plot: Emma tries to get out of making Davis's special bread.
- Brick Joke: While trying to find a phone app that can connect to the new security system and unlock Corner Gas, Brent accidentally installs a diary function. The second part of The Stinger shows him writing in it like a teenage girl.
- "Eureka!" Moment: When Brent gets angry at his father somehow sneaking past the new locks to take chips and magazines from Corner Gas instead of actually helping, Brent realizes he was eating greasy chips when initially setting up a fingerprint scanner, and has to re-grease his fingers in order to free Hank and Wanda.
- Maintain the Lie: Everyone in town loves Emma's bread, but she hates being associated with it because she's actually just following Davis's recipe, and can't convince Davis to bake it himself because he thinks she's the better baker. Lacey, however, is more than willing to maintain the lie in her place if it drums up business at The Ruby.
- Motivational Lie: It turns out that Davis's recipe is easy enough for anyone to follow, and only told Emma she had excellent baking skills and had to make the bread because he thought her face would market it better.
- Orgasmically Delicious: Lacey has absolutely no idea why the whole town lines up every year for Emma's bread...until she tries some and has this reaction.
- "Shaggy Dog" Story: Lacey spends nearly the entire episode trying to take up the mantle of preparing Davis's bread in order to get more customers at The Ruby. She succeeds, but the first part of The Stinger shows that she's unwilling to actually get up early enough to properly bake it.
- Something We Forgot: After getting the doors to Corner Gas unlocked, Brent makes sure to loudly announce that he'll be closing for the night and anyone else that may be there should leave immediately. When nobody replies, he locks the place...only for Karen, who was called in earlier to try and help get Hank and Wanda out, to break in through a vent and get stuck in the locked building.
- The Triple: When Wanda asks why Brent is installing a "Smart Lock" for Corner Gas instead of still using keys, Brent flashes back to three occasions when Wanda called him because she lost her keys: while at home eating a chili dog, while in the bath eating a chili dog, and while...getting a colonoscopy because he ate too many chili dogs.
