Original air date: 1/31/2003 (produced in 2002)

The first produced episode (not the first aired) of Codename: Kids Next Door, it’s included with pilots No P in the OOL and Diseasy Does It.

The Kids Next Door attack the birthday party of the Delightful Children From Down the Lane, intent on stealing their birthday cake. However, the Delightful Children have a secret weapon ready; a sweet little girl named Laura, who turns into a violent brute called the Big Badolescent if she's denied party games!

Now loading tropes:

  • Bittersweet Ending: Sector V fails to secure the cake, but the Delightful Children get their just desserts.
  • Butt-Monkey: Numbuh 2 is locked out of the Delightful Children's mansion and fails to do anything of note throughout the whole mission.
  • Does Not Like Spam: The Delightful Children's cake is coconut; The Big Badolescent hates coconut!
  • Early-Installment Weirdness:
    • The beeping sound used for the text cursor's blinking is a different beeping sound than the one used normally.
    • The Delightful Children refer to Numbuh 4 as "Wallace" instead of Wallabee or Wally.
    • The episode is seven minutes long instead of the standard eleven.
  • Establishing Character Moment: This episode alone establishes the DCFDTL simply by how they command their unwilling guests to sing them a birthday song while refusing to let them have any cake.
Guests: [flatly] Happy birthday... not our birthday...
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: It doesn't take much to make Laura hulk out.
  • Hulking Out: Laura goes from a frail little girl to a huge and strong teenager whenever she gets upset.
  • Not in the Face!: The Delightful Children beg for the Big Badolescent not to hit them in the face when she gets pissed with them.
