The Lyoko Warriors are planning a seek-and-destroy mission against the Supercomputer that created the first Replika, discovered on a previous mission in the network. To complete their mission, Jeremy has finished a process he calls “Energizing,” a sort of teleportation which allows his friends to be rematerialized anywhere on Earth in the form of a Super Polymorphic Specter. While Yumi and Ulrich keep watch over the Skid, Aelita and Odd find themselves thus materialized deep in the Amazonian jungle…
This episode contains examples of:
- Apology Gift: Ulrich gives one to Yumi to make up for forgetting her birthday. She's grateful and gives him a kiss on the cheek, making him blush.
- The Bad Guy Wins: William is successfully able to defeat Ulrich and Yumi and take over the tower used for Odd and Aelita's teleportation, preventing them from destroying the supercomputer in the Amazonian lab.
- Birthday Episode: With a twist: the B-plot focuses on Ulrich forgetting Yumi's birthday, which occurs two days prior to the episode itself; the episode focuses on the aftermath of Ulrich forgetting her birthday.
- Death by Irony: When fighting William, Ulrich and Yumi both end up devirtualized when it looks like they've gained the upper hand in their respective fights: Ulrich has managed to disarm William, but ends up accidentally running into William's sword after he summons it back. Jérémie programs Yumi a new pair of fans Just in Time after William crushed her previous pair, but William devirtualizes her anyway while she's distracted.
- Demonic Possession: The laboratory where the supercomputer is located is guarded by XANA-possessed scientists.
- Fireballs: Aelita's energy fields have this appearence on Earth.
- Doesn't Know Their Own Birthday: Aelita, and it's one of the few things she still doesn't remember.
- Forgotten Birthday: Ulrich, which Yumi is really mad about.
- Giant Spider: The cybernetic spiders XANA is creating in the lab.
- Just in Time:
- First, Yumi is put at a huge disadvantage in her fight against William after he crushes her fans. Right as it looks like he's about to finish her off, Jérémie is able to finish programming a new pair of fans. However, it ends up not mattering, as William devirtualizes her while she's distracted from seeing her new fans materialize.
- Later, a villainous variant: William is able to input the Code: XANA into Jérémie's tower and cancel Aelita and Odd's teleportation right before Odd can blow up the supercomputer.
- Oh, Crap!: A few instances of this...
- When Ulrich finds out he forgot Yumi's birthday and, given how important such things are for her, she's going to be angry with him for weeks unless he makes it up to her.
- In the final scene, Odd realizes the gift he bought on behalf of Ulrich for Yumi's birthday got switched with the gift he got for Kiwi. As he realizes this, Yumi opens up her present to find a dog toy and is confused.
- Player-Guided Missile: Once again, Yumi uses her telekinesis to guide her fans while fighting William, but this time, he's ready for it and drops his sword to catch her fans.
- Unfortunate Item Swap: While shopping for Kiwi, Odd picks up a gift for Ulrich to give to Yumi to make up for forgetting his birthday. Things seem to be looking up when Ulrich gives Yumi the gift, until the end of the episode where Odd prepares to give Kiwi his present and finds a necklace, while Yumi opens her gift and finds a dog toy.
- Wrecked Weapon: William crushes Yumi's fans, leaving her defenseless. Jérémie is able to program her a new pair, but it takes time to do so.
