Go To

After learning about a group of young girls who have gone missing, Tandy and Tyrone look to see if they can find out what has happened to them. As they get further into their investigation, they realize someone else is trying to rescue the girls too, but in her own vigilante justice type of way. Meanwhile, Mina may have discovered a side effect to the big Roxxon leak.

  • The Bus Came Back:
    • Mina Hess, revealing the origins of Mayhem through one of her experiments.
    • Father Delgado, who is revealed to have quit his job at Saint Sebastian's and fallen rock bottom.
  • Car Fu: Mayhem takes out two gang members with a semi.
  • Continuity Nod: Brigid alludes to a "reporter in New York" teaching her to keep notes on cards, referring to Ben Urich from Daredevil.
  • Despair Event Horizon:
    • Father Delgado has hit rock bottom after quitting his job, having lost his faith, going back to drinking and madly preaching on the street.
    • The girls who were abducted by the human traffickers are so traumatized that Tandy literally can't find any hope inside them.
  • Fate Worse than Death: While defending a seemingly innocent young gang member from getting shot by Mayhem, Tyrone absorbs the latter into the Darkforce, like he did with Connors. Inside, she meets an illusion of Fuchs.
  • Flashback: Several for Mayhem, building up her own base and conducting research on the whereabouts of Connors.
  • Pay Evil unto Evil: Even after the girls are freed, Mayhem wants to kill all the human traffickers, with Tyrone standing up to her.
  • Slashed Throat: How Mayhem kills Connors' partner Bradford.
  • String Theory: Mayhem has one in her appartment.
  • Superpowered Evil Side: Mayhem is strong enough to lift and throw a fridge down a hallway.
  • Tantrum Throwing: In a flashback, Mayhem throws the fridge where Brigid found Fuchs down the stairwell.
  • Villain Has a Point: Tandy begins sympathizing with Mayhem's action, much to the chagrin of Tyrone.
  • Vorpal Pillow: Mayhem contemplates killing Brigid this way when she is comatose, but ultimately relents (at least for now).
  • You Wouldn't Shoot Me: When Brigid has Mayhem at gunpoint, the latter dares her to shoot her and then walks away, correctly deducing that she can't.
