- Memory Trigger: Castle only caught a brief glimpse of Ilya in a news report, but that was enough to trigger dreams of his missing memories from his disappearance, at least part of which was spent in northern Thailand.
- The Reveal: Castle was abducted because his former classmate Bilal, an ex-Al-Qaeda commander looking to defect, was almost killed meeting his CIA contact and wanted someone both famous and familiar to him to accompany him to his next meeting in order to guarantee his safety. The reason it happened on Castle's wedding day was because a major terror attack was about to happen soon and they couldn't wait any longer.
