When Castle and Beckett investigate the death of a ladies' man, a secret is revealed about Ryan's soon-to-be bride.
- Bad to the Last Drop: Ryan and Jenny are on a cleanse. It's a... green something? By the end of the second act, Ryan is desperate for calories and looks ill.
- Death by Woman Scorned: The detectives were thrown in for a loop because Bailey had slept with multiple women who would have obvious reasons to kill him. As it turns out, Amy Kemp killed Michael after discovering he was a corporate spy who only seduced her to acquire company secrets.
- Exact Words: After finding out about Jenny in the ledger, Castle tells Esposito about it since Beckett only told him to not tell Ryan.
- Fanservice Extra: The two women Bailey's fellow pickup artists are seducing when the police barge in. One is wearing a Modesty Towel, the other's shirt is open, showing her bra.
- From Bad to Worse: One of the witnesses expressed this and really wished she killed Bailey upon hearing he slept with someone just before picking her up.
- Happily Married: Although not actually married yet, Ryan and Jenny turn out to be this. The other characters' agonizing over whether to tell Ryan Jenny had slept with the victim turns out to be pointless; it was before the couple was exclusive, Jenny told Ryan as soon as he mentioned the victim's name, and Ryan was fine with it.
- Honey Trap: The victim uses his pickup artist skills to lure women and learn about their business secrets.
- Let No Crisis Go to Waste: When Bailey's fellow pickup artists are mistaken for his kidnappers and arrested, one of them takes the opportunity to show off to his date.Pablo: See? I told you we were badass.
- Offscreen Karma: Castle tells Corrupt Corporate Executive Seth Harris to expect a visit from the SEC once the investigation is over.
- Really Gets Around: A search of pickup artist Michael Bailey's contact information turns up well over a dozen women he was stringing along. His scrapbook of scantily-clad women reveals there are hundreds more.
- Violently Protective Girlfriend: Colette attacks several men who are kidnapping her boyfriend and breaks one of their noses. Sadly for her, it turns out that he staged the whole thing to avoid the drama of a breakup.
- Walking Shirtless Scene: Suspect Max Landon is wearing nothing but a Modesty Towel when the cops arrest him.
- Wham Line: As the characters discuss Ryan's engagement while Castle reads a murdered pickup artist's scrapbook, Castle suddenly asks when Ryan and Jenny met. Upon being told that the couple has been together since April 2009, Castle reveals that Jenny slept with the victim during that time (although it later transpires the relationship wasn't exclusive yet).Castle: Bailey's May 20, 2009 entry.
