Nikki goes off to adventure with Dolph and Nerris instead of Max and Neil for a while.
This episode provides examples of:
- Affectionate Gesture to the Head: Nerris tussles Dolph's hair after he reflects on what a Dummkopf he was back in "The Candy Kingpin".
- Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: The new trio jumps from adventure to adventure without ever really seeing the end of the previous one.
- Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and Yeti: Nikki kicks off her adventure with Dolph and Nerris by hunting for Sasquatch. Sasquatch comes out of the bushes at the end of the episode.
- Black Comedy Burst: This episode has some fairly dark moments as it is, but the prime example has to be when the Breaking Bad style meth lab explodes, with its cooker still in it.
- Brick Joke: At the start of the episode, Max mentions a turtle being on its back making a weird noise. At the end of the episode, a sasquatch hands an upside-down turtle to Max.
- Continuity Nod: Dolph thinks back to the events of "The Candy Kingpin" and how he didn't understand friendship back then.
- Disposing of a Body: Miss Priss is seen pulling a body in a rolled up carpet into a white van, and drives away thinking no one has seen her.
- Hidden Depths: Nikki, Dolph and Nerris reveal they have things they are hiding from the other campers, such as Nikki hating grapefruit or Nerris's love of baking shows.
- Iris Out: Used twice in the episode to symbolize the end of an adventure.
- Major Injury Underreaction: The burglar who was stealing Gwen's stuff falls into Nikki's Sasquatch trap, and thinks he scraped his knee. Even after he sees that his leg is far more mutilated than that, he doesn't call attention to it.
- Noodle Incident:
- The episode starts just after some kind of Ponzi scheme has just wrapped up, with only vague hints as to what happened.
- Max's adventure with Neil, Gwen and Space Kid happens completely off camera, including how Space Kid ended up in a bird's nest.
- Any of Nikki, Nerris, and Dolph's past adventures and in-jokes.
- Why exactly was Miss Priss trying to hide a body?
- What were the creatures Quartermaster was hiding in the bus?
