Recap / Camp Camp Camp Campbell Wants YOU

Go To

Cameron Campbell invites all viewers to enroll in his personal summer camp, Camp Campbell, in a public access commercial.

Tropes:

  • Bad "Bad Acting": Little Davey is obviously reading off of a cue card. Of course, it's unlikely that someone as young as him would have acting lessons at all.
  • Blatant Lies: Cameron claims his staff "aren't threatening in the slightest." At that moment, the Quartermaster begins yelling threats at a camper.
  • Long List: The camp activities listed in the ad. The list was a decent length in the original commercial, but it's clear that about a hundred more activities have been sloppily added since.
  • Overly Long Gag: The list of camp activities, which goes on for several minutes and doesn't stop even when characters are talking.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: According to the commercial, Camp Campbell is LEGITIMATE.
  • Stylistic Suck: As the commercial goes on, it becomes painfully obvious that it's just an older commercial with new footage and subtitles poorly spliced-in. Also, Max was apparently recruited as cameraman for some of the new footage, and it shows.
