Recap / Calvin And Hobbes The Series S 4 E 23 Bodyswap

Go To

Socrates plans a birthday party for Elliot, and meanwhile, Calvin plans to upgrade the Mini-Duplicator in an upcoming lightning storm. When he's invited to go to the party, the MTM offers to oversee the experiment, leaving a transmitter behind for them to contact him. Calvin takes MTM up on this offer and goes to the party.

While there, Andy meets Elliot, but Calvin doesn't, and he's quite annoyed about that. On the MTM's side, the Mini-Duplicator experiment goes wrong, and the energy is transmitted over to the party. Calvin and Socrates, who are closest to the transmitter, are electrocuted. They later wake up to find that they've switched bodies, and have to live each others' lives for a while.

As Socrates, Calvin actually gets to meet and talk to Elliot. It turns out that Elliot's twelve years old, a goth, and he actually wanted to meet Calvin at the party, but Calvin disappeared into the crowd. Socrates goes to school in Calvin's place, discovers the wonders of Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs, and pranks Moe.

Later, they go to the MTM with their problem, and he suggests they talk to Sherman. It turns out, Sherman has an invention that will switch their minds back. He uses it, and when Calvin wakes up, Elliot is upstairs visiting.
