Subject: Gorillas, falcons and lions
Blaze, AJ and Stripes discover Animal Island, an island full of talking animals with their own talents. But when a greedy chameleon steals all the animals' powers, the two have to retrieve them.
Tropes:
- Art Evolution: This episode marks the debut of a new animation style for the series which is more detailed and realistic. Note that the trucks' paint jobs are now reflective thanks to ray-tracing, and the animals now resemble more like their real world counterparts.
- Brought Down to Normal: The animals lose their animal powers thanks to Lazard's power stealing machine.
- Call-and-Response Song: The second verse of "Welcome to Animal Island" has Blaze call out an animal's name, then they respond by showing off their powers.
- "I Am" Song: "Welcome to Animal Island" is a partial example of this, as the animals introduce themselves and show off the ability related to them.
- Heel–Face Turn: Lazard undergoes one near the end when he discovers his color changing power and apologizes to Blaze.
- Rule of Three:
- Lazard tried three different animal powers which he found difficult to handle.
- Blaze turned into three different animals, a gorilla, a falcon, and a lion, in that order.
- Blaze and Stripes had to pass three problems before they reach Lazard.
- Wanting Is Better Than Having: Lazard learns this soon enough when he realizes he cannot handle the animal powers he tries out.
- Welcoming Song: The animals of Animal Island welcome Blaze, AJ and Stripes to their home with the song "Welcome to Animal Island".
