After Hairball inadvertently foils Cataclysm's latest attempt to capture the Biker Mice, Cataclysm ends up fired and replaced by Catalina and two other Catatonian shape-shifters known as Catamaranda and Catabulous.
This episode contains examples of
- Clothing Damage: Catalina, Catamaranda, and Catabulous all end up with burned holes in their uniforms after the Biker Mice defeat them in the volcano.
- Continuity Nod: Catalina from "The Tender Mouse Trap" returns and at one point even assumes the Martian mouse disguise she used in that episode.
- Foreshadowing: Stoker finds a patch of Catatonian shape-shifter fur and decides to hold onto it because he believes it can be used to cure his transformations into a rat monster.
- Literal Ass-Kicking: Cataclysm takes out his anger at Hairball foiling the latest plan to capture the Biker Mice by repeatedly kicking him in the butt.
- Shout-Out: Vinnie refers to the Catatonian shape-shifters' defeat as being "like cats on a hot tin roof".
- The Voice: The Catatonian high commander is heard from the communicator in Hairball's belt buckle, but he doesn't actually appear.
