In hopes he could win the Verities Award, he continued his research, but he lost the award to another doctor named Kelly. Driven mad by this loss, Animo faded into obscurity for 5 years until he could perfect his research. He would finally do so back in "Washington B.C.", with the seen report of Diamondhead saving a campground back in "And Then There Were 10" pushing him to find a way to create his own "Monsters".
