Tropes in this episode:

• Beam-O-War: Way Big's cosmic ray vs Emperor Milleous's battleship's Wave-Motion Gun that destroyed Pluto in the past. Way Big completely dominates the struggle.
• The Charmer: Turns out while he's Bullfrag, Ben is quite the flirt. All it takes is a little smooth talking from him to turn Attea (who had him, Gwen, Kevin, and Max at gunpoint) into a blushing, stuttering mess.
  Attea: My daddy will fry you alive for coming back. And the rest of this miserable planet!
  Bullfrag: 'Course, you're kinda mixed up about me, aren't you? (walks over to Attea) It's exciting, going against what Daddy says, huh?
  Attea: (blushing) What?! Well uh... I, eh, uh...
  Bullfrag: Now that I'm an Incursean, Attea, I'm seeing you in a whole new way.
  Attea: (nervous) Which... way... how... say what?!
  Bullfrag: You're special. Those big eyes, that cute little cap, that vicious indifference...
  Attea: (sheepishly happy) Oh, well... it's an instinct, y'know. I'm just naturally cold-blooded!
• Continuity Nod: Attea mentions that after the last time she tried overthrowing her father, he's been keeping her "at tongue's length" so she wouldn't get another chance. She managed to make an opportunity by sabotaging Ben's pod so he could escape.
• Dating Catwoman: Due to the influence of Bullfrag's DNA, Ben is outspokenly attracted to Attea in this form... and the feeling is mutual.
  Kevin: (after watching Bullfrag flirt with Attea) I'm gonna throw up! (gags) That was disgusting!
  Bullfrag: Don't blame me, blame this DNA!
• Foreshadowing: Even after being rescued from Attea by a rogue Incursean named Bullfrag, Gwen, Kevin, Rook and Blukic are all a bit mistrusting of him at first. That is until Gwen gets a closer look at him and deems him safe. He later notices Blukic drinking a Mr. Smoothy, and asks if they have any more. This hints at Bullfrag actually being Ben.
• Locked Out of the Loop: Played for laughs. All of the main characters, except Kevin, figure out on their own that Bullfrag is actually Ben, much to the former's irritation.
  Kevin: What? Everybody knew except me?
• Naked People Are Funny: By using every single one of his quills, that is to say all the hair on his body, Argit is able to knock out a Way Bad. He sheepishly asks for some pants afterward.
• Paper-Thin Disguise: Subverted. While Ben's Omnitrix Symbol should be a HUGE giveaway, Bullfrag's suit was modified in such a way that the symbol is hidden. His green eyes would've also been a giveaway, but they were covered by his Cool Shades. This didn't stop Gwen, Grandpa Max and Rook from realizing it was Ben, though.
• The Quisling: Will Harangue, one of Ben's most vocal critics, sings the praises of the Incurseans after they’ve conquered Earth, simply because they launched Ben into space in a prison pod.
  Will Harangue: My friends, a month has passed since our Incursean protectors arrived here on Earth, quickly establishing a new era of order and tranquility. They have ousted the Plumbers, a seditious ring of spies, and taken possession of their hideout. And best of all, our benevolent leaders have banished the traitorous menace Ben Tennyson for good.
• The Reveal:
  • Bullfrag is actually Ben's newest alien transformation. Pretty much everyone but Kevin figured it out beforehand.
    Gwen: Who else would come up with a dumb name like "Bullfrag"?
  • Ben's escape and return to Earth was orchestrated by Attea, who knew that he and the Plumbers would take down her father, giving her the perfect opportunity to take charge of the Incursean Empire.
• Shapeshifter Mode Lock: Unlike the previous times, where this has happened either accidentally or due to outside forces, Ben actually invokes this when he takes the form of Bullfrag in order to infiltrate the Incursean forces.
• Spanner in the Works: Exploited by Attea. She purposefully unlocked one of cuffs in the pod Ben was exiled off Earth in so he could escape, come back, and take down her father, leaving the throne wide open for her.
