Beavis And Butt Head S 9 E 16 Freaky Friday

Go To

Beavis and Butt-Head think they switched bodies.

Tropes:

  • Ambiguous Ending: In-Universe. To Beavis and Butt-Head, they have no idea if the switch worked and they're back to normal, or stuck in the other's body. But neither really cares.
  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: The disgruntled clerk who ran the Maxi-Mart in the original series has been replaced with a younger man.
  • The Dividual: The episode seems to make fun of the criticism that Beavis and Butt-Head are essentially the same character, but with minor differences, as demonstrated when the pair talk into their "reflections" at the Maxi-Mart and find that they each enjoy nachos and think about nothing but scoring.
  • "Freaky Friday" Flip: Beavis and Butt-Head talk about the movie before they get knocked out, and when they come to and look at their reflections in the doorway, they assume they've switched bodies.
  • Human Notepad: Beavis and Butt-Head write their initials on their hands to "differentiate" them - B & B.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: Lucas, the jock who banged the boys heads together and started the whole plot in the first place. When they approach him to ask him to knock them out again, he turns them down and amiably says he no longer uses violence to solve his problems. Once his girlfriend is out of earshot and eyesight though, he drops the friendly attitude immediately, scowls, clonks Beavis and Butt-Head again, and even kicks them while they're down, showing it was just a front to impress her.
  • Put Their Heads Together: Lucas, the jock, does this to Beavis and Butt-Head. Twice. (Though the duo asked for the latter)
  • Soda Can Shakeup: The duo do this to soda at the Maxi-Mart. One of the bottles is brought by a jock who knocks the pair out in retribution.
  • Unexplained Recovery: The last episode to focus on the teenage Beavis and Butt-Head ended with them dying in hospital.
