Beavis And Butt Head S 8 E 13 Copy Machine Recap

Beavis gets stuck in the copy machine after he tries to take a picture of his butt.

  • Accidental Hero: After so many delays in extracting Beavis, it's Butt-Head who saves the day when he activates the machine because he wanted to see Beavis' "female artery". It knocks the boy out with damaging the machine and reveals that his femoral artery was not pierced; he just suffered rectal lacerations.
  • Apathetic Citizens: None of the teachers care that Beavis is injured; they only care about getting their copy machine back.
  • Bait-and-Switch: The repairman objects to the firemen taking the carriage off the copy machine. Not because it could potentially put Beavis' safety at risk, but because it could delay the use of the copy machine for at least another three days.
  • Big "SHUT UP!": Buzzcut shouts this twice to Butt-Head in short succession when the latter misinterprets his lesson on empathy on something perverted.
  • Cheek Copy: Deconstructed, as Beavis breaks through the machine and gets severely injured.
  • Costume Evolution: The school nurse now wears a completely different uniform from the one she wore in the original series, and her hairstyle is different and colored black instead of blonde.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Buzzcut really should've known better than to send Beavis and Butt-Head down to the copy machine.
  • Here We Go Again!: Butt-Head gets Beavis to copy his butt again to see the stitches, which ends up breaking the machine again.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Principal McVicker, while just as callous as the other teachers, was right to call Beavis out on his stunt, since he disobeyed orders and ended up wasting everyone's time.
McVicker: You're lucky you almost died, or you would be in big trouble. (briefly thinks about what he said before continuing) If you ever try to copy your butt again, I will have you expelled from the entire school system!
  • Noodle Incident: According to Buzzcut, this isn't the first time that Beavis and Butt-Head have copied their butts.
  • No Sympathy: None of the staff members care about Beavis' predicament at all; they only want him out because they need to use the copy machine themselves. Justified in that they've all been dealing with Beavis and Butt-Head shamelessly making trouble for years — it's understandable that they wouldn't bat an eye at one of them suffering the consequences of his tomfoolery.
  • Skewed Priorities: The school faculty is not happy with Beavis getting stuck in the copy machine at all... because they have their own documents to copy and he's holding them up. And they refuse to let the firemen take him out safely because doing so would delay their use of it even more. Even the copier technician (who doesn't even have the excuse of being fed up with the title characters' shenanigans) is more concerned with getting the copier working than the kid stuck in it.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Beavis jumps on top of the copy machine, and his butt goes right through the glass due to his weight, suffering some nasty cuts.
  • Tempting Fate:
    • Buzzcut attempts to avert this by telling Beavis not to copy his butt. This being Beavis, he does so anyways.
    • McVicker also attempts to avert this by threatening to expel Beavis if he tries to copy his butt again. Of course, Beavis still doesn't listen.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Even after getting freed from the copy machine, Beavis decides to sit on it again anyway, severely injuring himself once more.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: McVicker justifiably singles out Beavis for his stupidity and threatens to expel him if he ever sits on the copy machine again.
