Beavis And Butt Head S 10 E 14 The Day Butt Head Went Too Far Recap

Beavis tries to hire somebody to kill Butt-Head.

Tropes:

  • Big "NO!": Beavis lets one out when Butt-Head slaps his sunburn for the last time.
  • Butt-Monkey: Poor Beavis gets a sunburn, which Butt-Head (and eventually the "hitmen") repeatedly slaps. This is what causes him to snap and try to "assassinate" him.
  • Disproportionate Retribution:
    • Beavis decides to get back at Butt-Head slapping his sunburned back by killing him.
    • Likewise, the contractors decide to beat up Beavis when he decides to cancel the "job" he hired them for just before they actually start it.
  • The Dog Bites Back: The episode in a nutshell. Beavis can't take Butt-Head's insults anymore and decides to kill him.
  • Embarrassingly Painful Sunburn: Beavis gets one of these because Butt-Head left him out in the heat all day and didn't bother to check on him.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Beavis actually feels guilty when it seems like Butt-Head is really about to get "killed".
  • The Ghost: Butt-Head apparently has an uncle; Beavis stole a picture of Butt-Head from his house.
  • Karma Houdini: While Beavis spends the entire episode pissed at him enough to want his death, Butt-Head actually ends up unscathed. Beavis feels remorse and tries to call off the hit; the painters start to beat him up for it. Butt-Head even suggests they could slap his sunburn, as that makes him hurt more.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Beavis starts having second thoughts about ordering a hit on Butt-Head, and when the contractors show up to do the "job" (which is just to do some unspecified renovation on the house), he tries to call it off.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Beavis' attempt to prevent Butt-Head's "death" by calling off the "hit" only results in him being beaten to a pulp.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: The painters deliver one to Beavis when the latter cancels the "job" he assigned them for at the last minute.
  • One Dialogue, Two Conversations: Beavis talks to a man at the diner, thinking he's a hitman, and asks for a job. The man assumes Beavis is looking for something physical-related and points him to the hardware store. The same thing happens when Beavis speaks to the store assistant. The former thinks he's ordering an assassination; the latter thinks he's being called on to do some work on the house.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Beavis could have gotten his wish if he had been more specific about the "job" he actually wanted.
  • Professional Killer: Beavis tries to hire one of these to kill Butt-Head, but he mistakes a painter for one. To him, a hitman is always bald and wears all black, much like "the guy from GoodFellas."
  • Rage Breaking Point: After getting his sunburn slapped by Butt-Head one too many times, Beavis declares he has enough and intends to kill Butt-Head.
  • Tranquil Fury: Beavis acts calm when he threatens Butt-Head as he's getting slapped on his sunburn. He keeps this up as he decides to kill him.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Beavis tries to save Butt-Head from the "hitmen". Butt-Head then suggests to the men that they hit Beavis on his sunburn, as that makes him hurt more.
  • Would Hurt a Child: The painters have no issue assaulting Beavis, a teenager, all because he reconsidered the "job" at the last minute.
