Rattrap is sent on a mission to salvage the Sentinel module from the remains of the Axalon. However, he soon finds himself in the middle of a heated battle between Rampage and Depth Charge.

- Accidental Hero: By throwing Rampage onto dry land, Depth Charge unknowingly saves Silverbolt from Quickstrike at the last moment.
- Actually Pretty Funny: When Cheetor muses that Rattrap being inside the mini-sub would make a great cat toy, Rhinox joins in the laughing.
- The Bad Guy Wins: The Predacons succeed in their mission to steal Sentinel and the episode ends with Megatron installing it into the Darksyde.
- Batman Gambit: Quickstrike lampshades how Megatron planned to acquire Sentinel simply by waiting for the Maximals to do the hard part of getting it out of the water.
- Cat Scare: A moray eel leaps out at Rattrap as he finds Sentinel, allowing him to let his guard down before Rampage attacks.
- Closest Thing We Got: With Depth Charge uninterested in helping the Maximals at first, the only way to retrieve Sentinel is a one-man sub designed by Blackarachnia that only Rattrap can pilot because Blackarachnia wouldn't know what to look for and he's the only one small enough to use the sub.
- Gadgeteer Genius: Blackarachnia built a fully functional mini-submarine out of spare parts. Rhinox is impressed by her handiwork.
- Got Volunteered: After saying that Blackarachnia isn't going on the mission, Optimus immediately looks at Rattrap. The rat is very displeased by where this is going.
- Height Angst: Rattrap noticeably squirms when Optimus points out he's the only one familiar with the Axalon systems that's small enough to fit inside Blackarachnia's mini-submarine.
- Hope Spot: Just after Silverbolt catches Rattrap and the Sentinel module in mid-air, Depth Charge accidentally crashes into them. While the Maximals hit the ground, Inferno grabs the module and flies off.
- Imagine Spot: Cheetor's reaction to Rattrap being chosen to pilot the mini-submarine? Imagine himself in his organic beast mode playing with the shrunken vehicle, complete with a cartoony 'thought bubble'!Cheetor: I was just thinking; with you inside, that would make a swell cat toy.
- Left the Background Music On: A jaunty sailing tune plays as Rattrap pilots the submarine underwater. When the scene cuts back to Silverbolt, the music can be heard playing over the communicator, much to Silverbolt's confusion.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Depth Charge refuses to help Rattrap and Silverbolt get Sentinel back, forcing them to pursue Waspinator in a huff. By the time Depth Charge does try to help out, he accidentally crashes into Silverbolt, allowing Inferno to claim the prize.
- No Backwards Compatibility in the Future: Rhinox has immense difficulties in bringing Teletraan I's security system online, as the Autobot's technology is millions of years out-of-date compared to the Maximals'.
- Soft-Spoken Sadist: Rampage, as he puts the squeeze on the mini-sub.Rampage: Come out, come out. Time to play.
- Tempting Fate: Waspinator should know when to keep his mouth shut:Waspinator: Waspinator having good day! Not get shot once.(Waspinator is immediately shot)
- Time for Plan B: Optimus actually had three plans in the works. The first was Rhinox attempting to mix Autobot and Maximal tech. When that proves too difficult, Optimus intends to call up Depth Charge and asks Silverbolt about his progress in finding him. With no trace of Depth Charge at the moment, Optimus checks in on Blackarachnia's mini-submarine effort and sees it's ready to go.
- Villain: Exit, Stage Left: While Depth Charge was distracted arguing with Rattrap and Silverbolt, Rampage snuck off.
- Villains Out Shopping: Megatron interrupts a card game Inferno, Waspinator, and Quickstrike are playing to tell them to retrieve the Sentinel device.
- What the Hell, Hero?: After the consequences of his failure to assist are made clear, Depth Charge agrees to be more willing to cooperate with the other Maximals if his aid is requested.
