Created by: Scott Klempner
Year of events: 501 YW

In the north of Elensefar, there are Wesnoth's border towns Delwyn and Dallben. Both towns are neglected by King Garard II so the villagers have to deal with raiding orcs and saurians by themselves. Things change for the worse when Asheviere, the new queen, sent hostile troops towards the towns to ensure their loyalty. Realizing that Asheviere and her forces are up to no good, Dallben's leader Baldras leads his villagers to become outlaws and find a way to sabotage Asheviere's attempt to control their lands.

This campaign provides examples of:

  • Adaptation Deviation: In earlier versions, the scenario in the Gray Woods has Baldras and his men helping Helicrom by slaying a Lich who's infesting the woods so that they may obtain help from the Shadow Mages. In later versions, this is changed to ambushing five groups of royal soldiers to prevent them from reaching the local outpost.
  • All for Nothing: While Baldras' victory has weakened Asheviere's forces, he still returns home to find his villagers gone into hiding and his village destroyed. While it's implied that he and the bandits will move to the Three Sisters to become pirates, visiting that location in Heir to the Throne reveals that there's a massive undead infestation on the islands, which leaves Baldras' actual fate in the air.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Baldras allies himself with Helicrom who is a good guy despite being a dark mage.
  • Enemy Civil War: The final scenario has a band of orcs attacking Halstead and taking attention away from the player for a while.
  • Final Battle: The final scenario has Baldras and co. leading an assault to destroy the fortress Halstead. If they fail to do it in time, Asheviere's grip on the western Wesnoth would be unshakeable.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: The protagonists have 'neutral' alignment when they are just ordinary villagers. After the second scenario, they declare themselves outlaws and their alignment becomes 'chaotic'.
  • Night of the Living Mooks: The fourth scenario has enemy loyalist attacking Elensefar: at nighttime they all turn into Undead, meaning that they're always advantaged in combat. When you slay their general, they reveal that they used to be the Prince's royal guard, cursed by the queen for their failure.
  • One-Word Title: The only campaign with such title.
  • Outlaw: Baldras declares himself and his villagers outlaws after killing the first squad sent by the queen. At the end of the campaign, they flee from Wesnoth altogether.
  • Puzzle Boss: In order to succeed in the final scenario you don't have to slay Halstead's general: you only have to place four units on the four trapdoors in Halstead's towers, causing the entire structure to crumble.
  • Stealth-Based Mission: Hide and Seek, where you only control Baldras and Harper and have to cross the map while avoiding a large number of heavy infantrymen. Thankfully, the mission is easy so long as the player knows how Fog of War works.
