• Beary Friendly: Barney and the kids encounter a bear who initially startles them. He turns out to be a friendly bear in search of some honey. After the gang has a picnic, Barney gives the bear their leftover honey.
• Growling Gut: The kids hear a mysterious roar, which ultimately turns out to be Barney's stomach growling.
• Owls Ask "Who?": Kathy hears a strange "hoo" towards the end of the episode, which turns out to indeed be an owl. The following exchange occurs in between:
  Kathy: Who said "hoo?"
  Barney: Who said what?
  Kathy: Who said "hoo?"
  Barney: Well, ''you'' said hoo!
  Kathy: No. Who said "hoooo?"

• Punny Title: The title is a play on the question "Who's in the forest?" and an owl's "hoo".
