The Avengers find themselves on Battleworld, a strange planet assimilated from pieces of multiple worlds and dimensions, including Earth.
There, they meet a mysterious alien dubbed "The Beyonder" who wants to study Battleworld and the inhabitants he gathered as his personal "experiment".
With the Beyonder currently out of their league, they perform surveillance across this new world, and run into some familiar faces.
