The Leader turns Red Hulk into a deadly, gamma-raged weapon, but is too powerful for him to control.
With the Avengers struggling to stop him, it may turn to the green Hulk to finish the job.
Tropes:
- Evil Is Burning Hot: Red Hulk burns so hot he manages to melt the control collar Tony tries putting on him. And that was after Sam beefed it up.
- Expository Hairstyle Change: The extra dose of gamma Hulk gets causes his hairstyle to change slightly, to short back and sides.
- "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: But without the fight. Black Widow gives Hulk a few speeches of this nature to help him keep a grip on himself.
- Inspirational Insult: Banner taunts and insults Hulk to motivate him out of his funk, and to go back to the Avengers.
- I Reject Your Reality: Red Hulk ends the episode off in his own world, convinced he is the Avengers' leader.
- The Juggernaut: Red Hulk souped up on Gamma, making him even stronger than he was before. Nothing the Avengers have actually manages to stop him for very long.
- Karma Houdini: While the Leader doesn't get to control the Red Hulk, he still gets away to plot again.
- Mythology Gag: The overdose of gamma momentarily turns the Hulk into Kluh, his Superpowered Evil Side from AXIS.
- Never My Fault:
- Marsh claims the Red Hulk going on a rampage is a perfect example of why Gamma mutates are threats, and at no point acknowledges that he put the clearly unreliable Red Hulk on the team in the first place.
- Once everything's over, Red Hulk figures he'll be forgiven and let back onto the Avengers no problemo, even though his inability to work with them is part of the reason for the whole mess.
- Through the Eyes of Madness: We get a brief glimpse of the world through Kluh's vision. Everything's on fire, except for the Avengers.
