  1. Asterix the Gaul (Astérix le Gaulois – 1961): Our introduction to the Asterix universe. The main story is about the centurion of the Legionary camp Compendium wanting to find out the secret of the village's strength.

  2. Asterix and the Golden Sickle (La Serpe d'Or – 1962): Getafix's golden sickle breaks, so Asterix and Obelix go to Lutetia to purchase another one. There, they get mixed up in an insidious ring of golden sickle traffickers.

  3. Asterix and the Goths (Astérix et les Goths – 1963): Goths from the east kidnap Getafix, hoping to make use of his magic. Asterix and Obelix head to Germania to rescue him.

  4. Asterix the Gladiator (Astérix Gladiateur – 1964): Cacofonix is captured and sent to Rome as a present for Julius Caesar.

  5. Asterix and the Banquet (Le Tour de Gaule – 1965): As part of a bet with the Romans, Asterix and Obelix go around collecting samples of fine food.

  6. Asterix and Cleopatra (Astérix et Cléopâtre – 1965): To win a bet with Caesar, Cleopatra has a palace built in his honor. Her main architect Edifis asks our favorite Gauls for help.

  7. Asterix and the Big Fight (Le Combat des Chefs – 1966): Gallo-Roman chief Cassius Ceramix challenges Vitalstatistix for control of the village at the worst time — when Getafix has amnesia and can't make magic potion!

  8. Asterix in Britain (Asterix chez les Bretons – 1966): Asterix and Obelix travel to Britain to deliver a barrel of magic potion to a village of indomitable Britons.

  9. Asterix and the Normans (Astérix et les Normands – 1967): Asterix and Obelix are put in charge of training Vitalstatistix's cowardly nephew Jusforkix to be a warrior, while at the same time a crew of Norman vikings arrive at Gaul, hoping to learn about fear as 'Fear lends wings'.

  10. Asterix the Legionary (Astérix Légionnaire – 1967): To save Panacea's fiancé Tragicomix, Asterix and Obelix join the Roman Legions!

  11. Asterix and the Chieftain's Shield (Le Bouclier Arverne – 1968): Caesar plans on holding a triumph on Vercingetorix's shield, but there's one problem; it's missing!

  12. Asterix at the Olympic Games (Astérix aux Jeux Olympiques – 1968): The Gaulish villagers travel to Greece and enter the Olympics.

  13. Asterix and the Cauldron (Astérix et le Chaudron – 1969): The chief of another village asks Asterix's to watch over a cauldron full of money... which Asterix loses!

  14. Asterix in Spain (Astérix en Hispanie – 1969): Asterix and Obelix return an Iberian child to his village.

  15. Asterix and the Roman Agent (La Zizanie – 1970): Caesar sends in a civil servant to sow discord among the Gauls.

  16. Asterix in Switzerland (Astérix chez les Helvètes – 1970): Asterix and Obelix look for a mountain flower for Getafix's medicine.

  17. The Mansions of the Gods (Le Domaine des Dieux – 1971): Caesar has a Roman flat built near the indomitable village.

  18. Asterix and the Laurel Wreath (Les Lauriers de César – 1972): Asterix and Obelix go to Rome and steal Caesar's Laurel Wreath.

  19. Asterix and the Soothsayer (Le Devin – 1972): A fake soothsayer in league with the Romans tries to destroy the Gauls.

  20. Asterix in Corsica (Astérix en Corse – 1973): The villagers free a captured Corsican warrior from the Romans, and Asterix and Obelix return to Corsica with him.

  21. Asterix and Caesar's Gift (Le Cadeau de César – 1974): A retiring Legionary insults Caesar, so his retiring gift is the deed to Asterix's village!

  22. Asterix and the Great Crossing (La Grande Traversée – 1975): While fishing, Asterix, Obelix, and Dogmatix get caught in a storm and wind up a new land with big gobbling birds, and a camp of what they think are colonial Romans.

  23. Obelix and Co. (Obélix et Compagnie – 1976): The Romans introduce big business to Asterix's village in hopes of corrupting it.

  24. Asterix Conquers Rome (Les 12 Travaux d'Astérix – 1979): Comic adaptation of the non-canonical film The Twelve Tasks of Asterix, in which the Gauls are challenged to twelve literally herculean tasks, with the stakes being absolute victory in the war between the Gauls and Romans.

  25. Asterix in Belgium (Astérix chez les Belges – 1979): When Vitalstatistix hears that Caesar claims that the Belgians are the bravest, he, Asterix, and Obelix go to Belgium to settle the score. The final album written by Goscinny before his death.

  26. Asterix and the Great Divide (Le Grand Fossé – 1980): Another village's leadership dispute leaves them vulnerable to the Romans. The first volume written entirely by Uderzo.

  27. Asterix and the Black Gold (L'Odyssée d'Astérix – 1981): Getafix runs out of "rock oil", an ingredient to the Magic Potion.

  28. Asterix and Son (Le Fils d'Astérix – 1983): Asterix discovers a baby left on his doorstep. A baby that Brutus is very keen to get...

  29. Asterix and the Magic Carpet (Astérix chez Rahazade – 1987): Cacofonix is needed to end a drought in the Ganges valley in India.

  30. Asterix and the Secret Weapon (La Rose et le Glaive – 1991): The village gets a new bard with strange ideas, and Caesar hopes to take advantage of Gaulish chivalry.

  31. Asterix and Obelix All at Sea (La Galère d'Obélix – 1996): Obelix drinks a second cauldron of Magic Potion!

  32. Asterix and the Actress (Asterix et Latraviata – 2001): A Roman actress in disguise is sent to the village to seduce Asterix and Obelix, and retrieve treasures belonging to the former triumvir Pompey.

  33. Asterix and the Class Act (Astérix et la rentrée gauloise – 2003): A collection of short stories.

  34. Asterix and the Falling Sky (Le Ciel lui tombe sur la tête – 2005): Aliens visit the village. Yes. Really. The last album fully written and illustrated by Albert Uderzo.

  35. Asterix and Obelix's Birthday: The Golden Book (L'Anniversaire d'Astérix et Obélix – Le Livre d'or – 2009): The village celebrates the birthday of Asterix and Obelix. The album celebrates the 50th anniversary of the series' first appearance, in the magazine Pilote in 1959. Mostly a compilation of short stories and other bonus content.

  36. Asterix and the Picts (Astérix chez les Pictes – 2013): The first album by the new team of Ferri and Conrad sends Asterix and Obelix on a mission to Scotland.

  37. Asterix and the Missing Scroll (Le Papyrus de César — 2015): After Caesar deletes a chapter in his Commentaries on the Gallic War about his failure to conquer the village, a reporter leaks it to the Gauls and the Romans attempt to get it back. Inspired by the Wikileaks scandal.

  38. Asterix and the Chariot Race (Astérix et la Transitalique — 2017): The Roman official in charge of maintaining the roads has an idea to hide the fact he sucks at his job: organize a chariot race across the Italic peninsula with riders from all over the continent. Obelix, who bought a chariot on the recommendation of a fortune-teller, decides that he wants to participate.

  39. Asterix and the Chieftain's Daughter (La Fille de Vercingétorix — 2019): The two leaders of the Gaullish resistance, former lieutenants of Vercingétorix, seek help from the village for an important task: to protect Adrenalin, their leader's daughter whom the Romans want to capture to use as a hostage.

  40. Asterix and the Griffin (Astérix et le Griffon — 2021): Asterix, Obelix, and Dogmatix joins Getafix in search of the mythical Griffin.

  41. Asterix and the White Iris (L'Iris Blanc — 2023): Roman physician Isivertuus tries to improve the morale of the Roman army and pacify the Gauls with his philosophy of positive thinking and healthy living.
