Lana: Since when is babysitting Archer my j— Oh my god, that's exactly my job. - Deadpan Snarker: Bilbo was told to find a Station Wagon that Archer is driving, even reminding them that it's the most common type of car in the state. He does so anyway and starts tracking every last one of them in a very sarcastic manner. Malory unknowingly smacks him to death as a result.
- Honey Trap: Archer's well-known weakness for beautiful women, and the fact that he will toss mission objectives aside in order to score with one, is exploited by Malory.
- How We Got Here: The entire story of the episode is recounted in flashback as Malory debriefs Lana and Cyril.
- Is This Thing Still On?: Subverted when Lana and Cyril are discussing Archer's ambiguous disorder.Lana: My theory—and I'm serious—is that he's got some rare kind of pervasive developmental disorder, or even undiagnosed atypical autism.

Lana: I know. - Manipulative Bitch: Malory, once more, manipulates Archer and the others to completely blow it in order to make money for herself.
- Turncoat: Unsurprisingly, Archer is totally willing to screw over Lana and Cyril in the hopes of scoring with the beautiful Moreno. Likewise, Malory orchestrated the whole thing to fail because she had already been bribed by the elder Moreno.
- Offing the Mouth: Bilbo dies of a heart attack while reacting to Malory slapping him, after snarking at her and the other agents for trying to find Archer...Krieger: She slapped you so hard, you died.Bilbo: No... I think... I'm actually dying.Krieger: ...I know.
- Warm Place, Warm Lighting: Scenes in the Mexican border desert are colored much more orange than scenes everywhere else.
