Pam's sandwich ruins everyone's dinner by releasing something deep inside of them.

- The Bus Came Back: After five years, Brett returns in Archer's dream scenario only to ''die'' not two minutes in.
- Fantastic Drug: The eggs are very addictive when they're eaten, so much that it makes the eater too dependent on them.
- Foreshadowing: Pam suddenly starts to act like a leader when her sandwich monster flees into the air vents, her behavior something everyone notes as odd but logical. Later revelations then point out that Pam started to eat the eggs earlier.
- Hidden Depths: The more space eggs the crew eats, the more their deepest desires are shown more. These include:
- Archer and Lana's lingering feelings towards each other (and raging libido).
- Cyril's laziness and confidence.
- Ray's desire to create a musical.
- Pam's responsibility and leadership.
- Cheryl seemed to be the subversion, but it turns out the eggs unlocked her desire to see her crew mates miserable by launching the eggs through the airlock.
- Hope Spot: When Brett arrives to provide the crew with rations, the eggs Cheryl launched get stuck in his ship's turbines and it explodes, killing Brett.
- Sanity Slippage: Eating the eggs make the crew members descend into their unique kinds of insanity (their deepest desires) while also making all of them too addicted to eating the eggs.
- Skewed Priorities: Archer and Lana keep having sex several times and only just briefly ponder if they should do something about everyone else going "nuts."
- Thrown Out the Airlock: How Cheryl gets rid of the creature and its eggs.
