"Pavlov's Mice" has examples of:

  • Are You Pondering What I'm Pondering?: "Uh, yeah, Brain, but where are we gonna get rubber pants our size?"
  • Artistic License – History: Ivan Pavlov was not really interested in conditioned response, he wanted some saliva to study. He actually won the Nobel Prize for "his work on the physiology of digestion, through which knowledge on vital aspects of the subject has been transformed and enlarged".
  • Chekhov's Gag: Pavlov hypnotizes Brain to sing "I'm a Little Teapot" when he hears a gong sound, and Pinky to do That Russian Squat Dance when he hears a bell ring. Brain's plan to steal the crown jewels with the Vacuuminator is foiled when the clocks in the Czar's treasury go off at 1:00 A.M., causing him and Pinky to get distracted and sucked up.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Thanks to Pavlov hypnotizing them, Pinky and Brain get sucked up in the Vacuuminator when the clocks in the Czar's treasury go off.
  • Improvised Lockpick: Brain uses a pen he sucks up with the Vacuuminator to pick the lock on his cage.
  • Running Gag: Pinky and Brain's conditioned reflexes being triggered. When the clocks in the treasury go off, they're triggered at the same time.
  • Total Eclipse of the Plot: Brain plans on doing the heist during a lunar eclipse, under the cover of its darkness.
  • Weapons That Suck: Brain invents the Vacuuminator from a French horn, which uses reverse air pressure to suck up anything in its path. He plans to use it to steal Russia's crown jewels, but his plan is foiled when the clocks in the Czar's treasury go off.

"Boo-Ryshnikov" has examples of:

  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In the theme song, during the "You wear a disguise / To look like human guys..." part, instead of Chicken Boo trying out disguises in front of a mirror, a Brady Bunch-style shot of Boo's disguises are shown.

"Nothing But the Tooth" has examples of:

  • The Dentist Episode: Rasputin gets a toothache, and to his horror, Yakko, Wakko, and Dot are his dentists. In the Wheel of Morality segment that follows, the episode's moral is "Brush your teeth after every meal. This moral brought to you by the American Dental Association."
  • Lampshaded the Obscure Reference: Yakko suggests knocking Rasputin out with "a little Anastasia". Dot then does an aside, "Obscure joke. Ask your parents." This episode was written long before the Don Bluth film was released.
  • The Tooth Hurts: Rasputin's toothache is how the Warners get involved.

Closing Tower Gag: Wakko (washing hair): "Lather." Dot (squirting Wakko with water gun): "Rinse." Yakko (throwing bucket of water on the two of them): "Repeat."
