"Let's go, Scout!"
Grandpa Lou takes Stu's place of chaperone for the class field trip to the Human Body museum, and starts to embarrass Tommy. Meanwhile, Dil is hospitalized for a burping throat infection.

Tropes:

  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Or in this case, grandparents. To Tommy’s horror, all the things he finds normal if not endearing about his grandpa, the other kids find annoying and strange.
  • Bizarrchitecture: Appropriately, the anatomy museum is shaped like a giant human body.
  • Gasshole: Dil, unsurprisingly. In this episode, he’s practicing burping the 50 states when he realizes he can’t stop and burps everything he says.
  • Instantly Proven Wrong: A variation. Grandpa Lou remarks that the museum isn’t going to get up and walk away when the kids are rushing him and while the museum doesn’t actually “get up and walk away,” it looks like it could as it’s shaped like an entire human body.
  • Jerkass Ball: Tommy grabs it hard in this episode, especially when he goes off on his grandpa for doing nothing more than simply being himself. Although, it might have been passed to him from Phil & Lil because their behavior towards a man who they’ve known and who’s taken care of them their whole lives isn’t much better. Luckily, Tommy redeems himself later by standing up for his grandpa and spending some quality time with him.
  • My Beloved Smother: To try to get him to stop belching, Didi throws Dil over her shoulder and burps him like a baby. When this doesn’t work, she spirals into a panic and forces Stu to join her in taking him to the doctor.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: A reference to The Young and the Restless.
  • Rambling Old Man Monologue: One of the many things Grandpa Lou does that embarrasses Tommy, including calling him his childhood nickname and being old & slow, is telling rambling stories about his time in the war.
