Go To

The fifty-seventh episode of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Sonic loses his memory when Robotnik uses a hypnotic flower pollen on him and tells him he's just an ordinary slow-mo. With Tails trying to remind him who he is, Sonic joins a Hog Biker gang and hits the open road.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Amnesia Danger: As a result of being hypnotized by Robotnik into considering himself an "ordinary slow-mo", Sonic has a tough time dealing with the Road Hogs.
  • And That's Terrible: When Sonic and Tails are pulled over (on foot) for speeding at the beginning of this episode, Tails suggests they outrun the policeman before he takes them to court. Sonic replies, commenting on how that would be illegal.
  • Anti-Sneeze Finger: When the pollen tickles Scratch's beak, Scratch plugs his beak to avoid sneezing. When Robotnik orders Scratch to let go of his beak, Scratch sneezes, spreading pollen everywhere.
  • Anvil on Head: When Sonic tosses things into the air with a tornado, one of them is an anvil that lands on one of the Road Hogs.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Anyone sprayed by Colonel Stench's pollen causes them to become mind-controlled. Robotnik uses the pollen to hypnotize the law into arresting Sonic and Colonel Stench, then later uses it to hypnotize Sonic into being an ordinary slow-mo and the rest of Mobius to worship him. When the Road Hogs get sprayed by the pollen, Sonic hypnotizes them into being his allies and helping him stop Robotnik.
  • Butt Biter: This episode ends with Robotnik running across a river while being chased by a hungry alligator, who bites him on the butt.
  • The Cameo: Bert Whoo from "Untouchable Sonic" appears as the vendor of the hamburger stand.
  • Disney Villain Death: Scratch drives the loudspeaker truck off a cliff after the leader of the Road Hogs flattens his tire with a chainsaw.
  • Exit, Pursued by a Bear: This episode ends with Robotnik being chased by an alligator.
    Robotnik: I'm alive!
    Alligator: But not for long!
Robotnik: I hate that hedgehog! (gets bitten in the ass by the alligator) Ow! And I hate you, too!
  • Hand Gagging: Sonic does this to Tails to prevent him from talking when the guard tells him that talking will earn them ten extra days of hard labor.
  • Ill-Timed Sneeze: While loading canisters of hypnotic pollen onto Robotnik's Robo-Blimp, the pollen tickles Scratch's beak, causing him to sneeze and spread it everywhere.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Tails realizes that Sonic really isn't acting like himself when Sonic orders a hamburger from a fast-food stand instead of a chili dog.
  • Pig Man: The Road Hogs are all anthropomorphic pigs.
  • Policeman Dog: At the beginning, a policeman dog gives Sonic a ticket for going over the speed limit, and, when Sonic is unable to pay for it, he is taken to court and sentenced to community service. This policeman dog appears again in the "Sonic Says" segment, where he chases Scratch and Grounder away after Tails calls for his help.
  • Smelly Skunk: Colonel Stench is a skunk who breeds flowers and has tried unsuccessfully for years to make a perfume to get rid of his stench. What he developed instead was hypnotic flower pollen, which Robotnik stole from him and used to hypnotize the law into arresting him and Sonic.
  • Visual Pun: The Road Hogs are a gang of motorcycle-driving pigs.
