Finn's latest literary work is met with only derision so he sets out to prove all the naysayers wrong.
Tropes:
- Banana Peel: After Finn comes home, he slips on a pair of banana peels, splits his pants, and falls on the massage chair. B-MO and NEPTR laugh at this, and it's implied that they set the whole thing up.
- Breather Episode: Almost certainly the last one in the series. It serves as one last humorous episode before the Wham Episodes that follow.
- Continuity Nod: The BLE Magazine that Finn had was shown in the background during a few episodes from earlier seasons.
- Everybody's Dead, Dave: Finn and Ice King arrive at the Ble offices, only to find that it has been abandoned for centuries and the skeletons of the employees litter the place.
- Gate Guardian: The Pudding Troll who guards the Ble building, although he seems to have no idea what he's guarding or why.
- No Name Given: The Pudding Troll never reveals his real name. His Belly Mouth however is named Big Tina.
- Shout-Out: The BLE Magazine is based on MAD Magazine.
- Start My Own: When Finn can't get his caption printed on Ble (on account that it hasn't been published in ages), he and Ice King decide to just make their own issue.
- Trash the Set: After he and Ice King make their own issue, Finn considers reviving Ble. Then Ice King orders his penguins to destroy the place.
