Short tales about Finn and Jake's thumbs, Marceline's search for a music shop, Tree Trunks' unpleasant encounter with a seemingly-rude statue, Ice King's new bride, and BMO's alter ego taking lessons in etiquette.

Tropes

  • Accidental Unfortunate Gesture: Shelby happened to be doing some reading in the fist of a giant statue, but Tree Trunks saw him and assumed the statue was Flipping the Bird.
  • Bait-and-Switch: The "graybles" seem to be themed around the five fingers, but they're actually based on the five flavors. explanation  The presenter even mocks the audience for expecting the "fingers" theme, saying that no one's had five fingers in "twenty-babillion glables".
  • Call-Back: Shelby, the worm that lives in Jake's viola, appears once again.
  • Consulting Mister Puppet: The Ice King marries his own foot with a woman's face drawn on it, and then finds himself sexually attracted to his other foot with a different woman's face drawn on it.
  • Cow Tools: BMO's "turnip grincher".
  • Cross-Dressing Voice: The mother toad has a male voice.
  • A Day in the Limelight: For Marceline, Tree Trunks and BMO.
  • Flipping the Bird: Tree Trunks thinks the statue is flipping her off because Shelby happened to be hanging out on its hand and popped up to say hello.
  • Four Fingered Hand: Lampshaded with the revelation that the theme can't be "five fingers" because people don't have them in the Adventure Time universe.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: Various things that the giant's finger and Marcelline fly past on their way to the music shop.
  • Funny Background Event: Finn and Jake continue to appear sticking their thumbs into things throughout other people's stories.
  • Future Imperfect: Finn and Jake find a pre-war book of nursery rhymes and believe them to be magic spells.
  • Gross-Up Close-Up: The close-ups of Ice King's feet and hands make them look very wizened and uncared-for.
  • Innocent Innuendo: Shelby sits on a statue's hand reading a book and accidentally makes the statue appear to be making a middle-finger gesture.
  • Mundane Made Awesome: Finn and Jake play a computer game about tidying a house.
  • Nursery Rhyme: The "spell book" that Jake finds turns out to be a book of these.
  • Sequel Episode: To "Five Short Graybles", natch.
  • Sock It to Them: Tree Trunks arms her vigilante gang with her stockings and pantyhose (even though we've never seen her wear clothes) filled with crumpled paper.
  • Tears of Joy: Ice King is so lonely that an imagined marriage proposal from his foot brings him to this.
  • Vigilante Man: Tree Trunks is outraged by the Banana Guard's bureaucracy and decides to round up some candy people to perform some vigilante justice on her insulter.
