  • The End... Or Is It?: In the last two seconds, Me-Mow is seen flying on a bluebird after it was believed she had fallen off a cliff.

  • I Lied: Me-Mow, while asleep, utters her intentions of double-crossing Jake.
  • Kick the Dog: Me-Mow smashes the antidote when Finn captures her, trying to ensure Jake's death just out of spite.

  • Stylistic Suck: Most episodes have elaborate title cards drawn with much more detail than the actual show. In contrast, the title card for this episode is a very simple pencil sketch on slightly crumpled paper.
  • Take a Third Option: Once Me-Mow explains the extent of the poison, Jake remembers he can sizeshift at will and supersizes his liver by 51 times, enough to digest the poison.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Happens a few times to Jake: first when he fakes Wildberry Princess' death, a few of the berry guards, oblivious to the scheme, proclaim in relief that Wildberry is still alive, and second when Finn races back into the house waking up Me-Mow before Jake can remove the assassin from inside his nose.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Me-Mow after her plan fails.
