- Berserk Button: The Business Men get crazy-furious when Finn threatens to fire them for taking "protecting people" too far.
- Continuity Cameo: The Business Men look a lot like the banker from the Flapjack episode "Kid Nickels", which Pen storyboarded.
- Gone Horribly Right: The Business Men gradually take over more and more of Finn and Jake's "rescuing people" business, until they take things too far by kidnapping folks to "protect" them.
- Human Popsicle: Finn and Jake find the Business Men frozen in an iceberg. They end up putting them back in one at the end of the episode.
- Temporary Bulk Change: Finn and Jake put on weight after succumbing to sloth and gluttony. Jake can just compress his belly. Finn...can't.
