A Warden is not truly an independent being anymore: she is part of her beloved. No matter where her body is, she is by his side in a metaphysical sense that matters more than the physical. Any attempt to communicate between the two always reaches the other. Letters always arrive quickly, texts and emails are noticed as soon as they’re sent, even if they don’t know the correct address, even if the other doesn’t have a phone (her beloved may leave the letter unopened or choose not to answer the phone, Wardens are psychologically incapable of that).
In addition, the Warden is always aware if someone is trying to “steal” her beloved.
