"Even among the various Stand Users that exist in Passione, this duo stands out as a pair of monsters."
The Narrator talking about Cioccolata and Secco, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

rikalous, Let's Watch Nanohanote

"Such a horrible jerk!"
— One of Crown City's civilians (about Grings Kodai after having watched his Evil Gloating broadcast to the whole city), Pokémon: Zoroark: Master of Illusions

"Well, if that's all we'll ever see of him, I guess it's hats off to a character who managed to make himself more loathsome in two episodes than most anime/manga antagonists manage in a season or more."
This review of Monster, referring to Dr. Heinemann

"I'm working hard on a personal theme of mine for this series—which is to come up with villains that will make the readers think, 'Please just destroy this guy already!'"
Hiro Mashima talking about the villains of EDENS ZERO

    Comic Books
"You're the worst person I've ever met."
— Anyone who has ever met Warren White AKA the Great White Shark, Arkham Asylum: Living Hell

    Fan Works
"Oh my God, you all hate her so much and it's great! If she seems like an unbearable and overly-dramatic bitch, then I'm doing my job right."
The Albinocorn, notes for Volume I of Spectacular Seven, referring to Moondancer

No one liked the Joker. He was sociopathic, he was cruel, and his body count numbered in the hundreds, if not thousands. Even the staunchest opponents of the death penalty or any sort of lethal justice were willing to make an exception for the Joker. Their arguments were based on the idea of change, and the Joker was never, ever going to change. More than one person wished that Batman or the police or someone would finally put the clown in the ground, and few could blame them.

    Film — Animated
"You're a liar and a bully, and I would rather rot in this dumpster than join any 'family' of yours!"
Jessie to Lotso, Toy Story 3

    Film — Live-Action
"Because I am hard, you will not like me. But the more you hate me, the more you will learn."
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman, Full Metal Jacket

"(High Evolutionary is)... nice until he is not nice. We all know that person who can seem very sweet, and seems to care, and then takes advantage, going 'I'm not doing anything wrong'. (...) Most of us don't have direct experiences with genocide. We do have an experience with a person like that."

"As played by [Amy] Johnston, an actress who could have had a successful career playing this type of role in eighties soaps if fate had decreed it, Sandra is the ideal boo-hiss villain for this kind of thing, practically leaning out of the screen to grab the viewer by the lapels and seething, "Come on, you know you want to hate me!""
This review of Jennifer, referring to Sandra Tremayne

"It's the first villain that I've played in a movie that has absolutely no vulnerability and no innocence, nothing whatsoever that is likeable about her, other than she's so bad. All the other Deadly Vipers have some empathetic quality: O-Ren Ishii has this horrible past, [Vernita Green] just wants to be a mom, the Bride has been abused, but my character is just bad all the way through, there's nothing to like about her, and you're going to hate her so much."
Daryl Hannah on her character Elle Driver, Kill Bill

"I like that the turkey is an asshole, so you kind of hope he gets cooked."
Danny Horn in his and Kynan Barker's ToughPigs review of A Muppet Family Christmas

"Don't take this the wrong way, but you are a TERRIBLE person."
Adam Franklin calls out his father's girlfriend (and his own ex) Vanessa on leaving his father in the hospital while she goes to a party, No Strings Attached.

"Man, what a perfect asshole."
Wallace Wells on Gideon Graves, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

"I really don't like that dude. He's an ASS-HOLE."
Robert Epps on how he feels about Galloway, Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen

    Literature
"In every book or story there has to be somebody you can loathe. In James it is the aunts. In Danny it is Mr. Hazel. In Charlie it is the spoiled and filthy children. In The Twits it is Mr. and Mrs. Twit. The fouler and more filthy a person is, the more fun it is to watch him getting scrunched."
— "Ideas To Help Aspiring Writers" by Roald Dahl

"She was made to be an utter villain. She was made to be hated with no redeemable features. Even when she was sentenced to death, she showed no remorse. On the contrary, she tried to frame the protagonist and drag her down with her."
Please Bully Me, Miss Villainess! (novel version), about Yvonne Smollett, the game's villainess/story's protagonist.

    Live-Action TV
"In these stories, it doesn't matter who the heroes are. All we want to know is, who is to blame? In this story, it was Anatoly Dyatlov. He was the best choice. An arrogant, unpleasant man. He ran the room that night, he gave the orders, and no friends. At least, not important ones. And now Dyatlov will spend the next ten years in a prison labor camp. Of course, that sentence is doubly unfair. There were far greater criminals than him at work. And as for what Dyatlov did do, the man doesn't deserve prison; he deserves death."
Valery Legasov, Chernobyl

    Professional Wrestling
"Why do I always have to die?"
Kimber Lee, SHIMMER Volume 80

    Video Games
"You hate me, don't you? You hate me, right? I played with the bodies of your family like toys, and now you want to kill me, right?"

"What a fucking prick!"

Damian Wayne: Who put a hit on me?
Deadshot: Anyone who's ever met you.

Gleeman Vox: Ace Hardlight is the perfectly manufactured celebrity, straight from the presses of the Gleeman Vox media empire. So tell me, why is it that I can't GIVE this stuff away?
[the camera zooms out to reveal Vox has several piles of crates with Ace Hardlight merchandise stockpiled in his office.]
Ace Hardlight: Well...uh...
Gleeman Vox: Don't answer that! Let me take a wild guess... IT'S BECAUSE MY FANS CAN'T STAND ACE HARDLIGHT! He's a pompous #$&% with the charisma of Blargian gnatcheese!

"I've faced a lot of bad men in my time, but you sir, are the worst."
Sly Cooper after hearing how General Tsao tricked Jing King into marrying him, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves

    Visual Novels
"(von Karma, I think I hate you.)"

"To be honest, I can't think of you as a truly innocent and good person. You have done enough evil to drive a woman to suicide. But... At least on the charge of murder, it would appear you are innocent."

    Web Animation
Rogal Dorn: I am referring to the multi-limbed wretch that I wish to punch.
Emperor: I am unpleased to have to acknowledge his existence.
Boy: he radibates gross.
Emperor: It is Urien Rakarth. He is a master Haemonculus and the concept of torture made flesh. He is a contender for worst living creature ever conceived.
Rogal Dorn: I am vexed the Khan has not had him crushed to pulp.
Emperor: That is the standard first impression.

"Atrocious. I can't stand people like him."
Pyrrha Nikos on Cardin Winchester, RWBY

"Ah, 'That Guy'. We all know that guy. His heavy mouth-breathing resulting from the three steps he traversed announces his presence to all, much like the trail of Cheeto dust in his wake. The fact that 'That Guy' even manages to show up despite possessing the intelligence and problem-solving capacity of a single-cell bacterium is impressive, in and of itself. Truly, 'That Guy' is the best of all players. He possesses all of the desire for power of The Power Gamer, but none of the mastery of the game system, all of the lust of The Hentai Guy, yet with somehow even less social grace to know when to conceal it, all of the impulsiveness of The Joker, with none of the creativity, the same lack of initiative of The Non-Player, but without the instinct to stay out of the other players’ way. None can stand in the way of 'That Guy', for his body order is potent beyond the ability of mere mortals to endure. Truly, any DM is blessed to have their game graced by 'That Guy', and they should never just be kicked out of the game without a second thought!"
JP Beaubien on That Guy, Terrible Writing Advice, DUNGEON MASTER’S GUIDE

"Behold, through the haze of Cheeto dust, and be AMAZED at the magnificence of the most GLORIOUS DM to ever grace the tabletop, 'That Guy'."

"Did you think just because 'That Guy' has the equivalent intelligence of intestinal worms and about the same level of hygiene that this would somehow prevent him from attempting to DM his very own campaign? Ohhoho, never underestimate the tenacity of 'That Guy'. Is he as vicious as the Killer DM? Oh no. There is no sweet release of death in his game. Is he as perverse as the Fetishist? Oh no. The Fetishist at least understands the concept of shame, unlike 'That Guy' which is immune to all forms of self-awareness. His settings are a combination of overused anime tropes and bad Saturday morning cartoons. His pet NPCs will be showered with constant overpowered gear and the plot will always revolve around his self-insert NPC that renders all of the player characters into passive observers. The only creativity he will display is when describing the tavern wench’s jiggle physics. When faced with someone else displaying creativity, 'That Guy' can only act with befuddlement before pointedly ignoring the accomplishments of others to go back to what he knows best: throwing everything he thinks is 'cool' into a blender and then thinking that this foul-smelling soup of stale tropes is somehow an unparalleled work of originality rather than an incoherent mess that even the most self-indulgent Isakai writer would consider excessive. His impulsive need for self-gratification outstrips even my own. The only way a game run by 'That Guy' could be even better is if everyone else at the table is also 'That Guy'."

"Truly, this is the pinnacle of the tabletop RPG experience and not an excuse to find a new gaming group AS. SOON. AS. POSSIBLE!"
JP Beaubien on That Guy, Terrible Writing Advice, PLAYER'S HANDBOOK

"Oooo, I hate that guy!"

I also enjoyed hate-writing Chess Guy. I never bothered to give him a name because he didn’t deserve one. When Graham first read that chapter, the first thing he told me was, “I fucking hate chess guy.” Mission accomplished.

"FUCK EREBUS!"
— Common Warhammer 40,000 meme

I've had the opportunity to write (and delete) a lot of hyperbole about Eric Sparrow while working on this article. I am not exaggerating when I say that I sometimes lie awake at night and consider the fact that Eric Sparrow will never go to hell, because he is not real and therefore cannot die. He lives in my memory. I hate him more than any other fictional being I can recall, yet participate in his continued existence by continuing to live myself. Eric Sparrow is a memetic virus that spreads and corrupts, conjuring desperate rage in its wake. I am a carrier, and now I've passed it on to you. I'm sorry.
Xalavier Nelson Jr. on Eric Sparrow from Tony Hawk's Underground

"All right, I consider myself a pretty chill and laid-back guy. It's hard to get on my nerves, and even if you do, I'm sure we can talk it out and move past any problem we have. I believe the world would be a much better place if we could solve our issues in a civilized manner...
(beat)
BUT DEAR GOD, I HOPE THIS FUCKING BITCH DIES IN A FIRE!!!"

"What a sad, pathetic, broken mess of a man he is. Driven to such extremes through pure pettiness. He sought out to end the lives of a man and his daughter, and destroyed the life of a defense attorney who did nothing wrong... simply doing his job. All for the sake of a bruised ego! ...I may not have reacted over-the-top. I may not have said much during the proceedings. But, I want the record to well and truly show that Kristoph Gavin is one of the single-most... horrendous human beings I have ever seen in this franchise. I haven't the foggiest what his ultimate fate will be, but I assure you, anything that this world could do to him, for the things that he has done... are far too good for him."

"You miserable little—"
