Welcome to Find the Path!

Actual Nerds, Actually Playing

Comprised of a group of longtime friends, Find the Path produces content that invites gamers and non-gamers alike into the world of Golarion and the Pathfinder RPG system. Known for their strong grasp of the Pathfinder rules system and genuine, cooperative table dynamics, Find the Path tells engaging and exciting stories full of diverse, multifaceted characters and epic fantasy adventure. Along with high quality audio and a respectful attitude toward each other and listeners, Find the Path is building a vibrant, positive community.

There are three main shows in the Find The Path repertoire. Each one covers an adventure path published for Pathfinder by Paizo Inc.

  • Mummy's Mask (The adventure begins in the city of Wati, where a lottery is being held for explorers who want to investigate the Necropolis. A criminal-turned-monk, a black marketeer, a priest of Horus, and a painter join together as the Doorkeepers of the Duat to see what secrets the Half Dead City holds for them. Can the Doorkeepers uncover the mysteries of the Necropolis and save not just Wati, but all of Osirion?)

  • Hell's Rebels (Five everyday people find themselves pulled into a rebellion when the Lord Mayor of Kintargo incites a riot. The adventure begins in the shining city of Kintargo where a glassblower, a university professor, a choreographer, a union rep, and a novice P.I. are going about their normal lives before the protest the following morning. When they all attend the protest, what starts as a peaceful gathering, soon unravels into violence. Now they must get away without getting caught and find out how they might become the key to the future of the city itself!)

  • Tyrant's Grasp (Patron Exclusive: The adventure begins in the small town of Roslar’s Coffer where a woodworker, a barmaid, a rancher, and a cemetery caretaker are preparing for the yearly Remembrance Moon festival celebrating lives lost defending Lastwall. Just as the festivities begin, our heroes see a flash of light and awaken entombed in a crypt. Now they must figure out a way to get home before all is lost!)

The cast members include:

  • Rick Sandidge (Gamemaster for all three main shows)
  • Heather Allen (Onuris and Masika in Mummy's Mask, Cesare in Hell's Rebels, and Valorae in Tyrant's Grasp)
  • Jessica Jenkins (Sagira and Hollis in Mummy's Mask, Adria in Hell's Rebels, Ailsa and Cypress in Tyrant's Grasp)
  • Jordan Jenkins (Sudi in Mummy's Mask, Lucia in Hell's Rebels, and Octavius in Tyrant's Grasp)
  • Rachel Sandidge (Sitra in Mummy's Mask, Vittoria in Hell's Rebels, and Darcy in Tyrant's Grasp)
  • Ross Scoggin (Niccolo in Hell's Rebels and Rosemund in Tyrant's Grasp)

Find The Path Ventures provides examples of:

  • Actual Play: The tagline says it all. While the story is told between the cast, the Pathfinder rulesets determine the success or failure of many actions.
  • Ancient Artifact: Golarion specializes in these items and in Mummy's Mask the titular mask is a potent one.
  • Downer Beginning: Tyrant's Grasp notably starts with the destruction of Roslar's Coffer in episode 1! However Hell's Rebels also starts out rather grim as House Thrune has already taken control of Kintargo before episode 1 begins.
  • Fantasy Counterpart Culture: Notably, Golarion, where the adventure paths are set, have a number of these. It's most apparent in Mummy's Mask where the setting has much in common with Ancient Egyptian culture on Earth.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: All the crew members are cat lovers leading to lots of mentions of cats in game. This translates over to virtually every character liking cats to some degree or another.
  • Lost Technology: Mummy's Mask deals with a number of technological wonders lost to time that far surpass anything modern folks of Golarion can come up with.
  • Stumbled Into the Plot: Hell's Rebels especially starts this way.
  • Talking Animal: Any character that can have a familiar ends up with one of these. In Hell's Rebels, Raven fits the bill while Mummy's Mask features Sugar who can only speak with her owner but has plenty of home-spun wisdom.

Episodes of this series provide examples of:

  • Cosmic Horror Story: Rick likes to add elements of this to stories when he can. Most notably it's present in the Faded/Fated Tales side stories.
  • Eye Scream: Toward the end of book 2 of Mummy's Mask, Old Eyetaker proves his namesake when he removes one of Sudi's eyes.
  • La Résistance: Basically the Silver Ravens in Hell's Rebels *are* this.
  • Sixth Ranger: In Tyrant's Grasp from book 2 on, Half-Orc Ranger, Jando Parr joins the party. It doesn't take long for him to prove himself to the Risen Shrikes and he becomes a welcome voice to the group dynamic.
