Basic Trope: The title of a work refers to something minor in the work.

  • Straight: Trope Street is about the day Alice and Bob went to the botanical garden on Trope Street. The eponymous road appears only briefly in the story.
  • Exaggerated: The botanical garden isn't even on Trope Street. Its only reference in the work is when Alice tells Bob "turn left onto Trope Street" while driving to the botanical garden.

  • Downplayed: The work is called Poplar Tree, which is a recurring motif in the work... Though, not an actual tree.
  • Justified: ''Trope Street is very important to the setting, if not the current plot.
  • Inverted: The title talks about important things and events to the point of being Exactly What It Says on the Tin or even a spoiler.
  • Subverted: The story starts in the Botanical Garden, but then moves to Trope Street itself.
  • Double Subverted: ...Before returning to the Botanical Garden, and spending most of the time there.
  • Parodied: The show is called 2005 Nessan Ultima, the car that Alice and Bob take to the botanical garden, which isn't seen again after the 5 minute mark.
