Basic Trope: Owning slaves is one of the most evil acts possible.
- Straight: Emperor Evulz is an abusive slaveowner, which is considered to be his worst attribute and makes him absolutely irredeemable. Fellow villain Dracone is disgusted by Evulz because he owns slaves.
- Exaggerated: Evulz is despised by everyone on the planet for owning slaves, to the point that he can't get anyone to work with him voluntarily.
- Downplayed: Evulz isn't totally unsympathetic, but he is roundly condemned for owning slaves and it is made very clear that he will not have even a prayer of redemption unless he immediately frees his slaves and renounces slavery in clear terms, for starters.
- Justified:
- This is a common real-life perspective owing to the many horrors of real slavery.
- In a sci-fi setting, automation has become so easy that the only reason to use organic slaves is pure sadism.
- Inverted:
- Bob is a Sympathetic Slaveowner whose slaves experience Happiness in Slavery.
- While slavery is portrayed as being very, very wrong, Evulz has standards and abhors rape, infanticide, and other such acts.
- Subverted: Evulz is given some degree of sympathy, with it being shown he does care for his slaves to some extent.
- Double Subverted: Evulz's ego gives him an entirely one-sided notion of "care" that doesn't make him any more sympathetic.
- Parodied: ???
- Zig-Zagged: Evulz's status as a slaveowner is sometimes being portrayed as being atrocious and sometimes isn't/
- Averted: Evulz's status as a slaveowner is not portrayed as notably heinous.
- Enforced: "We need to make Evulz a Hate Sink, but we can't put rape in a PG-13 movie!" "What about slavery?"
- Lampshaded: "Okay, you lost me at the part where you own other human beings!"
- Invoked: ???
- Exploited: ???
- Defied: ???
- Discussed: ???
- Conversed: ???
