Basic Trope: A male character has a deep voice to emphasize his masculinity or badassery.

  • Straight: Alex's voice is deep and is one of the most badass characters in the series.
  • Exaggerated: Alex has a bass voice and because his voice is so deep, he elicts fear from his enemies.
  • Downplayed: Alex's voice is low sounding, if not very deep.
  • Justified: Alex had gained strange powers which deepen his voice.
  • Inverted:
    • Alex has a high-pitched voice which emphasize him as a wimpy character.

  • Gender Inverted: Contralto of Danger
  • Subverted: Alex's voice is deep at first...then we find out he was faking a deep voice, and it's actually ridiculously high pitched.
  • Double Subverted: But that's because he hasn't finished puberty yet.
  • Parodied: As a hobby, Alex enjoys saying lines from other media, specifically lines said by high-pitched characters.
  • Zig Zagged: Alex's voice pitch changes every day for some reason.
  • Averted: Alex's voice doesn't determine his badassery.
  • Enforced: Author Appeal.
  • Lampshaded:
    Random girl: "Oh, Alex, your voice is so mouth-watering manly!"
