  • When there is creation there must be destruction. In the twelve universes of the Dragon Ball Multiverse, each requires a God of Destruction for the gods of creation. The seventh, where Goku and his friends come from, is home to Beerus. Attended and mentored by Whis, he is by far the strongest being in his universe (except Whis of course) and feared by all. As Destruction of the Endless left his position long ago, Beerus was picked to represent destruction in the Trope Pantheon…until it was discovered that Beerus was a very lousy destroyer, often leaving his job to the likes of Frieza and Majin Buu for him and preferring to nap instead. This created far more harm than good, as shown by the "highlight" of when Majin Buu wiped out all the Universe 7 Supreme Kais except for Shin, their most inexperienced member; the consequences of which resulted in Universe 7 becoming the universe with the second lowest mortal level. That caused him to get his Destroyer Deity title removed and relocated somewhere else, which got him mad but he couldn't do anything about it.
    • He has a twin brother called Champa, who is God of Destruction in Universe 6 (also a twin of Universe 7). The two don't get along, but Beerus does seem to care for him deep down as he used the Super Dragonballs to revive his universe's Earth so he may enjoy the delicious food there and was quietly saddened when his brother was erased by Zen'o.
    • Despite being coworkers, every god of destruction of the Dragon Ball Multiverse despises Beerus. The reason? Many years ago, the Omni-King hosted a hide-and-seek tournament, and Beerus hid so well he fell asleep for fifty years. The Omni-King was so angry the other gods of destruction were almost erased before they calmed him down.
  • Beerus is very confused as to why he has been considered evil by others in the House when it is his job, and on top of that an important one, to destroy planets, as it maintains balance and equilibrium in the universe because new planets will just be created, by the Gods/Goddesses of Creation, as replacement for the planets that are destroyed. Once you get to know him, Beerus is a polite, friendly and likable Manchild who can become friends with you, and acts like the lazy, affectionate, fun-loving overgrown cat that readily joins in the food, song, laughter and dance (yes, he lets loose some truly funky breakdance moves) instead of the God that he should be. That said, other gods note his point would still stand if he could be a lot less petty and trigger-happy with said powers.
  • The real reason that The Saiyan race was exterminated? King Vegeta stole the most comfortable pillow in the universe for himself in a raid ordered by Beerus then tried to hoard it for himself instead of giving it to Beerus, then he failed to give Beerus a sumptuous enough banquet even while letting Beerus use his head as stepping stone while he was eating as punishment, so he encouraged/"ordered" Freeza to destroy Planet Vegeta because he knew Frieza wanted to anyway and he couldn't be bothered to do it himself. Damn. Oh, and ever wonder why King Kai lives on such a small planet? Beerus and King Kai played a car racing video game together and Beerus lost, and being the sort of person he is, he destroyed the planet in a fit of rage at losing. King Kai then took a large leftover fragment, whittled it down to a sphere, and built a road on it so that he could have fun driving there. This became King Kai's current planet. Beerus has since been advised by many to NEVER play Call of Duty.
  • Much to the shock of the rest of The Pantheon, he gets along famously with the kind-hearted Kaname Madoka herself. Madoka's Herculean feat of not only destroying an entire universe wracked by grief and despair, but rebuilding a kinder and gentler place over it quite certifiably earned Beerus' respect; not to mention the fact that he really enjoys the affectionate chin-scratches that Madoka readily gives him and the delicious Afternoon-Tea Parties her mentor Tomoe Mami holds every Thursday Afternoon. At one particular Tea Party, he has struck off a Friendly Rivalry with Kyouko Sakura, who swears she will not stop practicing until she can beat his funky breakdance-moves in Dance Dance Revolution.
  • Be careful around this friendly, polite and fun-loving Deity. Like all cats, Beerus is prone to mercurial temperaments and violent mood-swings that can be set off by the pettiest of reasons; do remember he is the same God who used King Vegeta's head as a footstool in front of his own son Prince Vegeta while making him treat him to an Eight-Course Banquet, and that was when he was in a good mood. Every other God in Dragon Ball's Seventh universe fears him. Even Shenron fears Beerus. He is so immature he needs Whis to remind him about waking up in the morning, good manners and brushing his teeth before going to sleep. While he is awake, tense days for the Supreme Kai's continue, as not even they know how many planets will be sacrificed.
  • Beerus is no longer invited to dinner parties with other Gods in the house due to creating a ruckus at the last party he was invited to due to no pudding being available.
  • Beerus absolutely detests the little bitch known as Kyubey. Not only does it insist on preserving a universe of sadness by destroying hope and creating despair; but more importantly, it made his beloved friend Madoka cry. To his frustration, no matter how many of the little fuckers he vaporizes, there will ALWAYS be more of them. His anger towards Kyubey pales in comparison to his fury towards YHVH and his plot to kill Madoka. This plot triggered his involvement in The Pantheonic Rebellion. His fury towards Vanitas on learning of his plot to join with Madoka to forge the χ-blade, possibly causing a universal apocalypse, was so great, that Whis had to calm him down. Even though Madoka isn't Vanitas's true target…
  • His reputation has become more feared (among those who are aligned with Good) and admired (among those are aligned with Evil and Chaos) when it was revealed that Beerus sealed one of the Supreme Kais (who are essentially the Creation Gods of the Dragon Ball multiverse) in a sword after the Supreme Kais and the Gods of Destruction got into an argument over some trifling thing. Beerus viewed sealing one of the Supreme Kais in a sword as an "appropriate" form of retribution as supposed to destroying the Sacred World of the Kais, which he originally thought of doing. This revelation has also frightened many within in the House of Magic as this feat makes it seem as though he could also be an extremely powerful wizard or magician of some sort if he was able to perform a sealing spell on a God so effortlessly and efficiently.
  • Despite terrifying them and having the opposite job, Beerus doesn't have anything against gods of creation since they need to work together. He doesn't take kindly those who wish to destroy or pervert this, and he will step in and painfully atomize the offender. Isn't that right Zamasu?
  • Beerus is absolutely HATED by many in the House of Beasts after they found out he wiped out the fucking dinosaurs because '''''one''''' of them acted rudely to him during one of his trips to Earth millions of years ago. Because he is capricious, he destroys even important planets without a second thought.
  • Wonder why he and Deadpool don't hang out? EVERYONE has had to keep him away from the god. Just IMAGINE what would happen if the merc got on his nerves? It certainly wouldn't be hard to do.
  • He doesn't know what to think of the Furry Fandom. He either likes it or hates it, given the circumstances. If you want to please him, show him 'Dreamkeepers'. If you want to anger him, just show him Rule 34 artwork of him. BAD artwork, mind you.
  • There is only one known person Beerus (and Champa) fear, their boss, the Omni-King Zen'o. The entire Pantheon was in shock when they saw him fearfully and humbly bowing to Zen'o. Considering that he is the ruler of their multiverse and is capable of destroying all 12 universes without effort, it was understood why. Especially when it was discovered there were once 18 universes... before the Omni-King destroyed six of them.
    • Him and the Supreme Kais are linked; if one dies, so does the other/s. He's in no rush to reveal this.
  • Beerus shocked everyone once again when he showed his actual power (to some extent); not only did he erase the ghost of the known gag scientist Dr. Mashirito (who escaped hell just because he wanted to — yes, the same hell that kept the likes of Golden Frieza) with the same ease in which he destroyed Zamasu, but he was also in position to kill Arale herself; those events made every comedy and gag-related god and a few of the spirit and ghost deities in the pantheon quite wary of Beerus, to say the least.
Whis: It doesn't matter if they're a ghost or not. There is nothing Lord Beerus cannot destroy.
  • Alphonse and Sakaki both became fans of his because he's a powerful cat god and they both love cats. He's cool with both of them, especially Al. However, he's not keen on Al thinking he needs his protection, so he made sure to show off his destructive power in front of the alchemist once. (Whis reversed the damage, of course.)
  • Never speak of a destroyer's ass. Vegeta found out the hard way.
  • Doesn't like how Whis keeps searching for a potential successor to his job, and is particularly side-eyeing Sailor Saturn.
  • Beerus is well aware there are people who think he, and the Supreme Kai, Shin, would make a cute couple. He finds the idea absurd, shouting "I only hugged him once!" and threatening anyone who dared remind him of the incident, and Shin would rather not expend too much time with him due to his anger issues. Naturally, Whis loves to tease him about it.
  • Also holds a place in the House of Faith.

    Death of the Endless
Death of the Endless, Goddess of Friendly Grim Reapers
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/death_of_the_endless.jpg
  • Overdeity
  • Symbol: A silver ankh
  • Alignment: True Neutral due to her duties, but leans toward Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Death (obviously), Perky Goths, Personifications of Death, Complete Immortality, Beware the Nice Ones, Nice Anthropomorphic Personification, Don't Fear the Reaper, All of the Death Tropes
  • Domain: Darkness, Death, Life, Love
  • Followers: Lady Death, The Black Racer, George Lass, Psychopomp-style Shinigami such as the members of the The Gotei 13, Steve, Gregg the Grim Reaper, The Agency of Deaths
  • Allies: The rest of the Endless (Dream, Destiny, Destruction, Delirium), Death the Horseman, Robin the Avatar, Finn the Human, Jake the Dog, Paige, The One Above All
  • Targets: Grima, The Lich, all undead in general
  • Opposed by: Many, but they are all one-sided
  • Odd Relationship with: Thanos, Wade Wilson/Deadpool
  • Death is a fun girl. She appreciates life, likes sentient people to hang out with, and is actually quite fun to be around. That being said, she's still DEATH, so don't mess with her.
  • Once, every 100 years, Death takes a day off to both enjoy being mortal for a short while and to remind herself of the gravitas of her duties.
  • A large part of Deadpool and Thanos' heat with each other is that they are both in love with her. While she is flattered by this, she treats both with as much affection as she does everyone else.
  • Has a friendship with the Death of the Discworld; he has offered to "lend" her his assistance as the Reaper, along with his assistants, allowing her to take more time off of work than one day a century, which she is grateful for.
  • Also gets along with Death the Horseman, though he is puzzled by her interest in humanity.
  • She has an entire army of lesser Grim Reapers, including The Black Racer, George Lass, Kill ’Em All Yoshiyuki Tomino, Psychopomp-style Shinigami, Steve, Gregg, and of course many, many little Deaths. Recently, following Ezio's ascension in place of Altair, she has made him one as well.
  • Is assisting Robin in finding a way to kill Grima off for good.
  • Will sometimes take members of the Pantheon to the Sunless Lands to say goodbye to those that they have loved, and were unable to make their peace with before their passing.
  • Nekron is plotting to overthrow her and steal her position. Thanos has sworn to destroy Nekron after discovering this plan; while she thanks him for the thought, she's not that concerned about Nekron. After all, she IS the one who will close up existence when the end comes, and lock up the door on her way out.
  • Has been asked by Finn and Jake to aid them in killing the Lich and making him stay dead. She has agreed to aid them, on the condition that he must be destroyed/killed again first. She upheld her part of the bargain by allowing an aspect of the Lich to reincarnate as Sweet Pea, who overcame the evil within himself and slew the last evil remnant of the Lich in Ooo.
  • Gets along well with Paige, due to their dark and gothic styles while still being as friendly and fun as they can afford to be.
  • Once partnered with John Constantine in order to give a short, informal PSA about safe sex.
  • Recently appointed Lady Death as the leader of her Psychopomps as a gesture of mercy towards the innocent woman she once was. Death declared that, if she was to remain undead, Hope could at least make herself useful by helping with the passing away of souls for the rest of her undead existence.

    The Entity
The Life Entity, God of Life Energy (The Entity, The White Lantern, Life, The Trespasser)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1140637-entity_3_large_3570.jpg
  • Overdeity
  • Symbol: The White Lantern
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolio: Creative Source Of Life, Time Abyss, Light Is Cold-Hearted, Manipulative Bastard, Connected To All Life, Only the Chosen May Wield, The Power Of Life
  • Domains: Space, Life, Light
  • Allies: Swamp Thing, All Lantern Corps members, Firestorm, J'onn J'onnz, Death of the Endless, Madoka Kaname, Eru Illuvatar, Captain Planet, Gaea, the Emotions, Xerneas, Ezalor
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Chakravartin, Shiera Hall
  • On speaking terms with: The other Deaths in the pantheon, Yveltal
  • Additional relationships with: Kyle Rayner (current representative), Thaal Sinestro and Hal Jordan
  • Enemies: Nekron, his Black Lanterns and the GUAD (particularly Nagash and the Lich), Ungoliant, Melkor, Krona, SKYNET
  • Opposes: Alex Wesker, Nurgle and those who have attacked Earth
  • Opposed by: Chernabog, Dhuum, the House of Undead
  • Pities: Dr. Manhattan
  • God spoke: "Let There Be Light", and there it was. The Entity is the White Light, the one from where all life began in the DC Universe. During "The Blackest Night", Nekron unearthed the Entity from within the Earth, where the Guardians found and hid it, in order to kill it and end all life in the DCU. However, Nekron was unsuccessful, as first Sinestro was its host, and then Hal Jordan and others brought back by Nekron used the White Entity to restore Black Hand to life, severing Nekron's connection to the mortal plane. Because of Nekron's actions, it was left in a dying state, and it chose four of the twelve it resurrected to become elemental embodiments to create the Swamp Thing to be the new bearer of the White Light in its stead.
  • The Entity's power ended up being spread out to other sentients as seven possible emotions and entities to embody them, who like it require a host. They are the Butcher for rage, Ophidion for avarice, Parallax for fear, Ion for willpower, Adara for hope, the Proselyte for compassion and the Predator for love. Anyone who wields the Life Entity's power is capable of using all seven emotional powers at once. The Life Entity got into the pantheon after transferring itself through the Source Wall. While unchanged, it believes the entities that joined him were recreated as some of the other gods. It came to believe that Madoka Kaname, having become hope, was a reincarnation of Adara.
  • It recently sacrificed himself alongside six of the other seven emotional entities to replenish the emotional reservoir behind the Source Wall to keep the universe from ending, as the reservoir had been depleted by the seven Lantern Corps drawing their lights from the wellspring. While The Entity is dead (for the moment), White Lantern Kyle Rayner acts as his representative in the DCU. The Entity currently resides within the Pantheon at the behest of Eru Ilúvatar, a fellow creative source.
  • As the source of life in the DC Universe, the subject of comic book deaths was brought up. The Life Entity has stated that while it can revive people, it doesn't do so unless need to be; that's why it only revived 14 of the Black Lanterns instead of all of them. Dhuum isn't happy with the Entity because of this, though obviously isn't going to try and kill it. The House of Undead aren't fond of the entity either as the white light burns through them.
  • The Life Entity is closely guarded within the House of Life, as it is feared what will happen should Nekron succeed in capturing and attempting to kill the Entity again. The lives of all characters from the DCU are connected to the Life Entity; should the Entity die, they all die. When not guarded, the Life Entity is able to use its power to restore or create life where there is none, often undoing any destruction caused by the Alliance of Destruction.
  • Asides from Nekron, the Life Entity has a number of other worries. As its life is directly connected to the life of everything that lives in the DC Universe, Nagash, the Lich and SKYNET have immediately targeted him. Krona is also interested in capturing and experimenting on the entity to discover the origin of everything. Melkor, desiring the elimination of his Creative Sterility, seeks to bind it to his will and use that power to take on Eru Illuvatar.
  • The Entity is often visited by the Emotions, to whom it is closely linked because of their connection to life itself. But it is curious as to how only one of them actually represents the same emotion as how they are colored (Anger), while the rest do not. It is considered as an elder authority figure of them, though usually lets them do whatever they want.
  • Will usually visit or associate with other life entities like itself, such as Xerneas. However it would rather not hang out with Nurgle, as it considers the Chaos God to be a perversion of life. Also, while it doesn't have much against Chakravartin as he's a fellow life spinner, the Entity doesn't trust the Creator that much. Still, it gets where his manipulative personality comes from.
  • Closely connected with the House of Nature. In its birth the Life Entity crafted numerous stars, and brought plentiful flora and fauna into the cosmos. It crafted the Earth itself as a home, and while the Gaea of the pantheon is not the same as that Earth she does refer to the entity as a godfather of sorts. Captain Planet may be somewhat related, as like the White Lantern Kyle Rayner combines the powers of special rings. Though it doesn't need the Earth around, it is annoyed by the numerous deities who have tried to or succeeded at destroying Earth and ruining its old home.
  • As the light of life, the Life Entity hangs out in the House of Life and Darkness. There, it has found another primordial life entity in the form of Ezalor. It's unclear whether they're related or not, but they get anyway. Whenever it hangs out with Ezalor, it really frustrates Chernabog who hates the light he produces. He can't do anything about it however since killing the Life Entity would annihilate the DC universe' life and even Chernabog doesn't want that to happen. The Entity is more concerned over Ungoliant, who'd like nothing more than to glut on its light until fit to burst.
  • No-one's sure where exactly the Life Entity came from, though most assume the Presence manifested it into creation, or it's the spark of Eru Illuvatar. Knowing the complicated hierarchy of gods within the DC Multiverse, you can't really be sure. The Life Entity seems to treat Death of the Endless of all beings as its "mother", since she infuses those who are born with life. Didi hasn't stated whether this is true nor not.
  • It does not have anything against the many Deaths of the pantheon; Nekron is more of "the absence of life", and death is simply a natural part of life. Like them it has a job to do. In particular it respects the Death of Discworld a lot for trying to defend life from the Auditors of Reality. Can also understand what Yveltal has to do to keep itself alive and the environment in balance. Has to keep shaking off immortality seekers like Alex Wesker who it finds really annoying.
  • * Oddly enough, it does not hate Dr. Manhattan for (presumably) taking away and splitting the powers of its representative White Lantern Kyle Rayner. Rather, it pities him for being deprived of a pure life and empathy for others due to a [[Comic Book/Watchmen catastrophic accident]].

    Mata Nui
Mata Nui, the Benevolent God (The Great Spirit, The Being, not the Island)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/5a61ed4eff66967669c5b4f4a261c915.jpg
Toa Mata Nui (and Click!)
Prototype Great Spirit Robot

  • Symbol: The Kanohi Hau, the Great Mask of Shielding
  • Theme Song: (as the Great Spirit) Legend of Mata Nui; (as a Toa) Bye Bye Babylon
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: Destiny, Elements, Heroes, Machines, Science
  • Domains: The Abel to Makuta Teridax's Cain, Deus Est Machina, God Is Good, God of Good
  • Followers: Every Being in the Matoran Universe
  • Allies: the Toa Nuva, the Turaga of Mata Nui, the Toa Mahri, Cosmos, Primus, Jeanne d'Arc, Optimus Prime, Kamina, Simon the Driller, Jean-Luc Picard, Emmet, Satsuki Kiryuin
  • Enemies: Teridax and, as a result of his actions, most other Chessmaster Magnificent Bastard-types, Darkseid, Megatron, Unicron, Sosuke Aizen
  • Odd Friendship with Satsuki Kiryuin
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork / Headbutting Heroes with: YHVH
  • Membership: Grand United Alliance of Good and Grand United Alliance of Law
  • Mata Nui's ascension was met with much rejoicing from the Toa Nuva. Though they were surprised when he met them in his Toa form. He explained that his true form is far too large to interact with most members of the Pantheon. That and his actual body is on a scale far too large to even see most members of the Pantheon.
    • Somehow Click, Mata Nui's Scarabax Beetle Pet and Sidekick came with him. He's incredibly happy at this.
    • Makuta Teridax has now joined the Pantheon, something which Mata Nui is not happy about - particularly considering that he was assigned the trope that he is now God of, Hijacking Cthulhu, as a result of his takeover of the Great Spirit's body. Mata Nui is determined to ensure that nothing like that will ever befall anyone again, and with his newfound allies at his side and lessons learned on Bara Magna fresh in his mind, he is more ready than ever to stand up to the task.
  • The reason why the Kanohi Hau, Mask of Shielding is symbol of the Great Spirit Mata Nui, is because their functions are the same: to protect.
  • Because of the Great Spirit's truly massive size, he does enjoy spending time with Primus due to being of similar size and disposition towards their subjects, though their reasoning for their non-interference are slightly different: Primus dislikes interfering on a non-interference clause, Mata Nui is simply mostly unaware of the beings in his body.
    • Due to Mata Nui and Primus' alliance, he has an enemy in Unicron and Megatron.
  • Jean-Luc Picard immediately took a shine to the Great spirit, due in both to having similar philosophies and Mata Nui having a voice that Picard could trust immediately.
  • Arael shows an odd interest in Mata Nui, due to believing that the Great Spirit may be a Seed of Life. Mata Nui has no comment on this, as he doesn't understand exactly what a Seed of Life is. Eventually it was explained to him, to which he explained while his Duty was similar, it was not the same.
    • Despite this, his relationship with Shinji, Rei, and Asuka is on mostly good terms, due to his naturally benevolent nature. His relationship with Kaworu is a bit different, as there's something about the boy that just seems... off to Mata Nui.
  • Team Dai-Gurren (mainly Kamina and Simon) were interested in how a robot of his size was able to operate without Spiral Energy. Mata Nui explained that his body runs on Energized Protodermis, which is comparable. He did warn them not to touch it, as it's effects are incredibly unpredictable.
    • Kamina also decided to make Mata Nui an honorary member of the Dai-Gurren Brigade, in any of his forms. (Kamina would prefer his 40-million feet tall body though)
  • He ended up having a surprising friendship with Satsuki Kiryuin, due to their shared trait of dominating a sentient being to their will. Though he didn't enjoy learning Satsuki did it for power, as his reasoning for dominating the Ignika's will was born from a need to survive and having multiple minds in one body is fairly counter-intuitive for survival. Though he did eventually come around after learning exactly why Satsuki needed to dominate Junketsu. They have remained friends and allies since, and Satsuki is in the process of having Mata Nui meet her group, causing Mata Nui to be surprised that Gamagoori is bigger even than him.
  • Due to being another LEGO-originated God, Mata Nui gets along incredibly well with Emmet. Mata Nui also approves of his creative ideas when it comes to design, as creativity has benefited his own followers.
  • Mata Nui has already informed the Treasury Keepers that the Ignika won't be put in the Treasures of the Gods, despite it being a Weapon of Mass Destruction, as the Ignika is an essential item for his body, not to mention it being where his spirit and consciousness is also kept. That and keeping the Mask of Life in a room with other things is a very, very, VERY bad idea. Just ask the Cursed Great Being.
  • Mata Nui is in a unique position due to being a member of both the Grand United Alliance of Good and Grand United Alliance of Law, as while he understands the GUAL's spirit, he dislikes its manner. Due to this, he tends to be a bit distant when dealing with members of the GUAL.
  • Mata Nui once encountered Eliphas and Eiki Shiki. After a introductions from the other two and a short discussion, Mata Nui learned of the plan to reform the GUAL. He agreed to help, and also informed Eliphas that while order is good, chaos is also a necessary and fundamental force of existence. Balance between the two is better than having one or the other, as he pointed out what happened with Eliphas' Astral World.
    • Despite not having died permanently (he did die once, but was brought back with Matoro using the Ignika to revivie him), Eiki Shiki decreed that his spirit was undeniably White.
  • Recently became friends with Artanis, as they are both leaders attempting to save their people from destruction; not to mention there was something about Mata Nui that reminded Artanis of Ouros, the last benevolent Xel’naga. One time, Artanis asked Mata Nui if the Great Beings were an alternate iteration of the Xel’naga. Since Mata Nui did not know much about his creators, he admitted it was a likely possibility.

    Mr. Game & Watch

  • Domains: Darkness (he is monochrome, after all), the 2-D realm
  • Allies: All ascended deities who were born in 2-D gaming, most famously Mario, Link, and Samus, 9-volt and 18-volt, Cranky Kong
  • Rival: King Tezro of Dotnia
  • Enemies: Tabuu
  • Mr. Game & Watch spends much of his time trying to catch up to Tabuu and get his revenge for Tabuu making him the worst boss ever. Also is at odds with the King of Dotnia for being able to move in one more dimension.
  • Likes to show off his pandimensional Mismatched Sock Collection, made up of every sock in all of time and space that has ever been lost in the wash. Most are either indifferent or confused.
  • Whatever you do, do NOT mess with this guy. Besides being able to wield all Hyperspace Mallets and control all robotic implements that are too big to fit into a robot's body, he also has many, many, favors from Mario, Link, Sonic, Pit, all who gained their greatness in Nintendo, Deadpool, (G&W taught Deadpool a number of fourth wall weaknesses), and Solid Snake. You have been warned. If you don't want in over your head, and just want to see Spongebob vs. Deadpool, you can ask him.
  • It's possible that if he really wanted to, Game & Watch could cash in all his favors, battle Batman for the title of God of Preparations, and win, proving himself one of the most powerful beings under the Main House.
  • Mr. Game & Watch is looked up to by the CPU Candidates because they also represent handheld gaming.
  • In a mutual respecting relationship, 9-volt and 18-volt are both fanboys of him, and he in return absolutely adores the idea of them using his games along with other older deities for his microgames. It's possible that the three of them may of been the reason Pit may of gotten a third adventure, as well as his inclusion in the third smash game. Unlikely, but it's entirely possible they brought awareness to Nintendo's older games.
  • For the record, it's spelled Game & Watch. Not Game and Watch. Game & Watch.

  • Closely Watching: Hotaru Tomoe/Sailor Saturn, Android 21, Broly: BR
  • The mysterious and somewhat androgynous retainer of Beerus the Destroyer, Whis was first introduced to the Dragon Ball mythos at his master's side, transporting him to Earth and accompanying him to a party where it was said he would find powerful Super Saiyans and potentially a Super Saiyan God. Quickly his personality was established, as he often offered light snark here and there towards the more inane moments around him, enjoyed Bulma's food immensely, and stood and watched through his master's entire fight with the Dragon Team and Son Goku as though it was a popcorn flick. The reason for this was revealed after the fight ended: he's actually Beerus's teacher, and the only other being in their specific universe to be stronger than Beerus.
    • Shortly after Beerus ascended, Whis followed suit to make sure that Beerus was taking care of himself and not doing anything stupid — as well as to see if a suitable successor for Beerus' position can be found here. Much to the cat's annoyance, he's looking at Sailor Saturn.
  • After hearing about Haruhi-sama's abuse of the Reset Button, he has taken it upon himself to make sure to keep it in his care so that it doesn't fall into the wrong hands again, much to the relief of Yui Ikari.
  • Some foolish gods tend to underestimate him, claiming he's not as strong as people say he is. The Trollkaigers decided to test their theory by sneaking some really spicy sauce into his food. When Beerus went berserk, this happened, which shut up his detractors.
    • Of course, if that didn't convince them, his sparring session with Goku and Vegeta would have, as he is one of the very few gods to take on the two of them and win. He is also the only god to curb stomp the two simultaneously and thus rivals Asura in being the top Badass in the pantheon.
  • He's a big foodie. As a result, he'll often go to the house of Food in order to sample their cuisine, even if his pupil is fighting in the background.
  • Asura is curious to see what Whis is truly capable of, but Whis does not feel like pitting his strength against Asura's own.
  • Please do not remind him of the time he stepped in poo.
  • It's noted that he sounds a bit like a certain substitute Soul Reaper. He barely pays it any mind, though.
  • After it was revealed Whis is the fastest being from his universe, petitions started up for him to race various other speedsters. Whis declined as he really only likes to use his speed for dodging and travelling, not racing. However, he has been known to get annoyed when others who know of his agility, specifically Beerus, complain about him taking things slow.
  • The only Pantheon member who gives Whis any concern is the Anti-Monitor, and that's due to serving a dual purpose: by cleaning up his Crisis Crossover with the Reset Button, it allows a proper Cosmic Retcon and the renewal of the Pantheon. Monty is not happy about this, and the two are often in conflict.
  • Has a twin sister called Vados, who serves as an attendant in Universe 6. She is believed to be slightly stronger than Whis, something which terrifies a number of gods, who are pleading Whis not to let her in the Pantheon.
  • Whis became even scarier for most of the Pantheon as he recently revealed that he has something even better than the Evil Containment Wave. Yes, the same Evil Containment Wave that served as the Godzilla Threshold for Merged Zamasu. Whether he is talking about another sealing technique or an unknown ability is unclear, but one thing is sure: nobody wants to find out.
  • Whis has not yet managed to get his superior, The Omni-King Zen'o, into the Pantheon… not for a lack of trying, mind you. Most of the Deities are just terrified of what would happen if someone so powerful ascended. Be it for good or bad, the balance of the entire Pantheon would certainly change.
    • Good news: he finally managed to get him into the Pantheon. Bad news: Zen'o might not be the benevolent god most believed him to be, given that he's recently set up an inter-universal tournament where the losing teams will have their universes wiped out for no apparent reason other than he felt like it. A lot of deities are frustrated that Whis would bring someone so overwhelmingly powerful yet childishly impulsive into the Pantheon, though they didn't start to express it until after he got preoccupied with setting up the Tournament of Power and left his seat open for a long time.
    • Even worse news: he actually did it. The first universe to be fully eliminated from the Tournament of Power couldn't spend more than a second before being swiftly and immediately erased by Zen'o and his future twin counterpart. Seeing Zen'o as too big a threat to keep around, every Grand United Alliance in the Pantheon except for Destruction combined their greatest forces in power, science, and magic just to make the Mister Big temple inaccessible to Zen'o and effectively lock him out so he couldn't return to the Pantheon.
    • Whis himself appeared to be nonplussed about any and all of this. He is one of the Angels of Zen'o and retainers to a God of Destruction, after all. Given how Zen'o returned to the Pantheon without a hitch following the Tournament's end, with the same temple to match, it turned out everything the Alliances had done didn't actually work at all. Fortunately the opposition to his ascension isn't as solid anymore; the Alliances of Good and Chaos each decided to back off trying to keep the Omni-King out as well, given his belief in humanity's virtue and the Secret Test of Character contained in the tournament all along. That said, many members of both alliances still don't quite trust Zen'o.
  • He and Beerus refused to act as more than informative bystanders whenever they were summoned by Bulma during the adventure against Android 21. However, Whis noticed that the Earthling Soul that linked itself to Goku and all the other Z-Fighters to draw out their sealed powers had some strange quality to it, and he sensed somehow that it wasn't satisfied with her defeat. He instructed it to go back in order to gather the truth behind the story. After allowing the revelations to play out, he saw Android 21's Heroic Sacrifice and concluded it was for the best, only to then see Sailor Chibi Moon and Ajani Goldmane hatch a plan to resurrect and ascend 21 within the Pantheon.
    • Following them further, he discovered the truth about how they created the Earthling Soul, and went to visit one Barry Allen, the contributor whose ability he directly spoke to. However, at the same time, 21 was visiting The Flash as well, to thank him for being part of the Soul which helped her so greatly. He ended up telling 21 about the time travel as well as the fact he wasn't particularly thrilled at her presence here, a notion she actually agreed with to an extent, as well as giving Barry his stamp of approval as a hero of speed and time.
  • Speaking of heroes of speed and time, Whis is on good terms with the Supreme Kai of Time and her Time Patrol, which has expanded in the Pantheon as the Pantheonic Time Police.
  • Also in the House of Time And Space.

Greater Gods

    Amaterasu
Amaterasu, Goddess of the Sun (Omikami, Okami, Ammy, Shiranui, Origin of All That is Good and Mother to Us All, Full-Throttle Ammy, The Shining Light, Kinmamon, The White Demon of Death, Snowy, The Master Unit)

Amaterasu in her humanoid form
When she needs to kick some ass up-close
  • Greater Goddess
  • Symbol: The Celestial Brush, backed up with the Mirror of Yata and Jewel of Yasakani
  • Theme Music: The Sun Rises, or its MVC3 remix
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: The Time of Myths, Clapping of Believers, Götterdämmerung, Physical Goddesses, Queens Of All Cosmos, Combined Energy Attacks, Big Wolves, Gods MIA, Friends To All Living Things, Benevolent Light Users, The Good Sibling To Susano-o's Bad, Mirror of Yata, Leader of Her People, Top God, Battle Grace (even as a dog)
  • Domains: Sun, Healing, Animal, Purification, Life
  • Herald/Celestial Envoy: Issun
  • Allies: Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, Volcarona, Yukiko Amagi, Chikane and Himeko, Chibiterasu (her son), Chuggaaconroy, Utsuho Reiuji, Django, Leona, Solaire of Astora, Guan Yu, Ragna the Bloodedge, Noel Vermillion, The King Of All Cosmos.
  • Rivals: Susano'o, Zeus, Odin
  • Enemies: Yami, Orochi, Yuuki Terumi, Fortinbras, King Ghidorah, Nine the Phantom.
  • Followers: Pharaoh Man, MagiShine, Daggeron the Solaris Knight, Sun Boy, The Warriors of Sunlight
  • Opposed by: Ghost Rider (he considers her retreat into Ama-no-Iwato as a cowardly and grossly inconsiderate act), Mako Reizei (Ammy is the sun goddess, Mako wants to sleep), Diana
  • Amaterasu was the deity that at first took on the concept of Gods (Try not to think about it.) and claimed the seat of both sun and moon, with her Celestial Brush and divine wolf form at hand. However, over time, people started noticing that the moon once did not belong to her (it formerly belonged to her brother Tsukuyomi). And thus while she amassed followers, there were plans to strike against her...
    • And that day arrived when suddenly, a Moon deity, Diana, who thought she did not deserve the Moon, launched an attack at her. While at first it would seem that she was countered by her rival, Leona, visiting Amaterasu at that time, it turned out to be a ruse, the real attack came from behind as Yuki Terumi, with his grudge of a certain Noodle Incident against her, backstabbed Amaterasu, stole her Tsumugari sword, passed it on Diana to overwhelm Leona while he continued to maul and mock at Amaterasu, now depowered greatly with the Moon leaving her, claiming that he won't be satisfied with just the loss of the Moon, he wants her obliterated for hurting his pride from the incident.
    • When all seemed lost, however, her messenger Issun arrived and told her something good: Beforehand, Amaterasu was invited to participate in the Battleground of the Gods and told to mold a humanoid form. Not only Issun bore the news that the form was ready to use, he also told the whole Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Chinese, Roman, Mayan and Hindu Pantheon (at least the deities that has made it to the Pantheon) that Amaterasu is in dire need of help or else she wouldn't be able to participate. Everyone, including Zeus, Odin and even Ares, started channeling their wish and support so Amaterasu will not lose.
    • With the Gods' blessings, Amaterasu managed to push back Terumi a little just to assume a new humanoid form, armed with just a normal katana, but empowered her Jewel of Yasakani and Mirror of Yata further and began pushing back the duo, also helping Leona on the way. Upon witnessing this, Terumi ended up retreating, followed by Diana, claiming that their purpose is done. In the end, Amaterasu survived, but she lost her rule over the Moon, although it was not on Diana's hands yet. Even so, as long as there are people who needed her help, especially her followers, she will ensure that the sun, her sun, will rise to protect all that is good.
  • Afterwards, Amaterasu gained the ability to switch forms between humanoid form and doggie form, though she tends to like appearing as a dog because people seems to be fond at that. In free time if she's in humanoid form, she really took her time to caress and take great care of Chibiterasu.
  • In dog form, she's often seen visiting the Bestiary, where none of the inhabitants, even the Catachan Devil and the Killer Rabbit, dare to attack her.
  • In spite of losing the moon power, Amaterasu still managed to gain the allegiance of both Himeko Kurusugawa and Chikane Himemiya, who tended to her home when she's away and in doggie form. Rumors speculate about how Chikane was kind of 'gang-pressed' by Himeko to stay.
  • Chuggaaconroy is a loyal ally of hers, because he loves her "art direction" as he puts it.
  • Volcarona has formed the Sun Quartet with Celestia, Utsuho Reiuji and Amaterasu to combat Yami and Nightmare Moon should they ever decide to keep the Pantheon in eternal night.
  • Sometimes goes for walkies with Haruhi and Kyon. Kyon's always the one who has to… ahem, clean up.
  • Toyosatomimi no Miko claims that she is a descendant of her. Ammy for the most part goes with it, knowing that all of the Japanese emperors had made that claim.
  • For her human form, she apparently took notes from what her brother Susano'o said about Guan Yu and modeled her ultimate strike as his old one and her human head a little based on another heavenly guardian Nu Wa.
  • Gave her blessing to Ragna the Bloodedge when he became the new host of his world’s Amaterasu, saving mankind from extinction. For his brave and noble deeds, Amaterasu praised Ragna and a good friendship was formed. She is also very fond of Noel Vermillion as well, encouraging her not to let petty insults about her body diminish her self-worth.
  • For some reason, Amaterasu has found a part-time job as a courier in the Battlefield of the Ancients, sometimes delivering items to heroes she's helping out. Some has expressed surprise that the Mother Of Us All would take such a lowly role in the battlefield, but maybe she's just not looking for such glory at the moment.
  • Also serves as a member of the Mediators of Nature.
  • Despite her benevolence, Amaterasu has a terrible secret. A secret regarding her true nature: that as a stellar deity, she is a fragment of the wicked Amatsu Mikaboshi. After all, as Amatsu put it, "The sun is nothing particularly noteworthy. Neither small nor big, hot nor cool. It is but one more miserable. Little. Star." It is unknown exactly how she came to an existence of her own, and why she is so vastly different from her sire, but regardless it holds frightening implication. The revelation of this originally shocked poor Ammy into near-catatonia until she heard the prayers of humanity thanking her for the life her 'miserable little star' provides and came to a realization: she's NOT Amatsu-Mikaboshi, and her sunlight supports a planet teeming with life. In the end, that's enough. She proceeded to unleash such pure and blinding light it managed to drive Amatsu Mikaboshi away.

    Eiki Shiki, Yamaxanadu
Eiki Shiki, Yamaxanadu, Enforcer of Black and White Judgement (Highest Judge of The Court Of Paradise, Shikieiki)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eiki_shiki_scoow_2.png
  • Greater Goddess
  • Symbol: The Rod of Remorse
  • Theme Music: "Eastern Judgment in the Sixtieth Year ~ Fate of Sixty Years"
  • Alignment: Lawful Good (but when she is on the job, she must judge as Lawful Neutral)
  • Portfolio: The Judge Of Death, Nagging to Others, Workaholism, Physical Goddess, Celestial Bureaucracy, Nice Hat, Black and White Morality, Compassionate Critic
  • Domains: Law, Inquisition, Death, Repose
  • Herald: Komachi Onozuka
  • Allies: The Living Tribunal, Yuma Tsukumo, Kaito "Kite" Tenjo, Eliphas, Tyr
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Oriko Mikuni
  • Enemies(?): YHVH
  • The Yama of the Paradise land of Gensokyo, and the representative of Yamas within the Pantheon. Her job is to judge the dead to be "White" or "Black". That is, good or evil. As the Yama, she has the singular power to unerringly judge any person or deed to be "White" or "Black". There can be no overturning her decision; the result she declares is the "truth". Once a soul has been judged by the Yama, there can be no appeal; no turnabout. The judgment is final.
  • However, despite her professionalism when she is on the job, she spends her time off lecturing the still-living on how to correct their lives. It his her opinion that Hell exists so that no-one sins, not to punish sinners, so she does what she can to make sure as many souls as possible can be judged "White" when the time comes.
  • The authority of the Yama is absolute. Everyone, from the lowest insect to the highest of gods, are judged by the Yama when their time comes. No life is truly eternal; no person can avoid their destined appointment with the Yama.
  • Despite this, she has immense trouble keeping her own ferryman Shinigami in line. Though even she has to admit that if Komachi wants something done, she will get the deed done. She just wishes she was always that motivated.
  • There have been rumors of the Yama making unjust judgements on a whim, out of jealousy. There is however no evidence of this whatsoever, and those rumors have never been confirmed. Though some blame it on Parsee.
  • While she carries the title of "Highest Judge", she only judges dead souls. Her power to see the true nature of any soul means that no prosecution or defence is necessary in her cases. Her only job is to judge a soul's nature and usher them to their final destination.
  • Poor Eiki Shiki had work a lot when there was a massive killing and revival of the people from the ZEXAL-verse, since she was chosen to judge who would and who wouldn't revive depending on behaviour. Though this has made her allies with the one doing the revival, Yuma Tsukumo, and they seem like they will work together in a project to reform the Grand United Alliance of Law.
    • They have managed to get Eliphas ascended, which is big first step for them.
  • She has little to no respect to YHVH... at least in some sense. She feels that his sense of "Law" is beyond corrupt and him forming the GUAL just made things worse. Where she might be Lawful Neutral on duty, she judges people on their actions and weights them on that aspect. As she's aware she stands no chance of overthrowing him outright, she wishes to somehow reform the GUAL from within and hopes that she can come to a peaceful conclusion.
  • Some are judging her position as an Overdeity due of the revelation that she only has power over the Hell where the oni reside, and while she might be stronger than almost anybody in Gensokyo, there is a being much more powerful than anyone in Gensokyo and on the Moon, who commands over all Hells, essentially throwing the established power order to a spin.
  • She is also present in House of Justice.

    Primus
Primus, God of Mechanical Lifeforms (Heart of Cybertron, Wellspring of All Sparks, Supreme Class Wave 2, Last of the Light Gods, Lord of Light)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/180_1803868_primus_transformers_cybertron_transformer_5.png
  • Greater God (he would have a greater influence if not for a general policy of noninterference)
  • Symbol: The Autobot Matrix of Leadership
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: Mechanical Lifeforms, Cybertronians, Physical Gods, Action Figures
  • Domains: Artifice, Good, Law, Sun, Radiance, Life, Metal, Transformation, Warforged (As Close to Transformers as D&D currently has)
  • Allies: Cosmos, Mata Nui, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Grimlock
  • Enemies: Unicron, Megatron, Starscream, Lockdown
  • Considers Tommy Oliver a genocidal maniac for his desire to sacrifice giant robots. Primus is the god of living machines, so in perspective it's really a matter of looking after his children.
  • ... Except for Starscream. He'd rather the Traitor be immortal than rejoin with him. Which makes Starscream the Satan, rather than Megatron. Huh.
  • Despite his great power, Primus holds very little influence in the Pantheon because of his noninterference policy. Even some Transformers are unaware that he actually exists and maintains little contact with other Gods except for Optimus Prime One of his 13 original Primes and GUAG high command. The only times he acts openly is if the Multiverse itself is in danger, usually from his fallen brother Unicron, but even then Primus rarely makes his presence known, preferring to let his children act for him.
  • Dig deep enough into the soil of the Pantheon, and you will hit metal. The Pantheon is built on Primus, who is also the House of Technology and possibly a few other houses. He could potentially transform back into a humanoid shape, but is willingly Mode Locked.
  • His sibling is Unicron. In this reality, they ignore each other despite being in very, very close proximity. It helps that Unicron's time is almost entirely taken up by the Death Star and Galactus.
  • Primus has basically adopted all of the Pantheon's thinking robots, even Mecha-Mooks. Even if they were built by the hands of fleshier gods. He seems to be ignoring Humongous Mecha that can only move at the commands of pilots, but he just might try and put sparks in them, given a chance.
