Here lies the House of Heroism, which fights against destruction. These Gods' goals are peace and harmony, to restore order. Beware that some are less than noble in pursuit of this goal. This house was founded when several of the heroes such as Superman and Spider-Man decided they wanted a place to rest instead of the perpetual war in the House of Heroes and Villains. While many of the elder gods were uneasy at the thought of another hero/villain house split after the first experiment, the case eventually went all the way to the court of the gods, where a very tired and irritated Johnson ordered the house split up because, "All that noise makes sleeping very difficult for the rest of us! I tolerate the House of Beasts out of necessity, but split the others up for now. Let them scheme in their own houses." Jean Luc-Picard facepalmed at this utterly arbitrary decision, but the decision passed with surprisingly little argument. The only dissenter was Harvey Dent, but after flipping a coin, he ultimately decided for it too, though it did create the awkward situation of him needing to drag himself between houses depending on his coin flip on who he was going to visit on off time.

Most of the resident Heroes are just glad to finally rest without needing to take watches to prevent their throats from being slit by those at home with Villainy. However, their only exception is a form of Enemy Mine when it comes to fighting The Anti-Monitor.

  • On his 16th birthday, Arusu went out to see the king, and he was given the task to finish his father's quest to defeat Baramos. As he gathered allies to help his on his quest to finish what his father started, Arusu and his allies took down the evil that pledged the world. When Arusu finished his quest, he was given the title of Erdrick, Mightiest of all heroes.
  • For anyone curious, Erdrick is only a title, not a name. You are free to still call him Erdrick, but he prefers Arusu.
  • Most people agree on his outfit, equipment, and personality, but there appears to be some sort of individual-specific perception filter over gender and name. But as of recently, people are more used to seeing Arusu as he is now, as a male.
  • Anyone bearing his blood in their veins has the potential to be a hero capable of slaying the devil himself.
  • Has absolutely no idea where his descendant found that "Erdrick's Helmet" of his, and stalwartly maintains that he never found nor crafted any such thing, and that it was probably created later to fit the design style of his custom-made legendary armor, shield, and sword.
    • It was as if a million antiques dealers cried out in agony, and were suddenly silenced.
  • Arusu actually has been ascended before, but he simply vanished without anyone noticing he was there to begin with. But he is glad to be back, and he is now given more appreciation for his legacy being more beloved.
    • As he reestablished his temple, he met two other Dragon Quest heroes, Eight and Nine. Both have heard of his legacy of how he ventured through various lands, and they are more connected with Arusu, as Eight had help from the Godbird Empyrea who was actually Ramia, who helped Arusu on his adventure, and Nine had encountered his enemies Baramos and Zoma.
  • Since he is from the time prior the merging of Square Enix, Arusu is rather hesitant to meet any of the Final Fantasy deities. The Warrior of Light was rather welcoming to Arusu, and even though they are all at peace, Arusu does wish to duel with the Warrior of Light when they have the chance, since he sees the Warrior as a worthy rival.
  • What got Arusu curious is that when he isn't called Erdrick, he was also called Goku. Arusu and Goku did meet, and they are rather confused on why Arusu was mistaken for Goku. Goku does know that Arusu has heart, and Arusu notes that he is indeed a mighty warrior.
  • Arusu also met with Crono, who also looks similar to him and Goku. Though it's ironic since that Arusu is from Enix, and Crono is from Square prior to the merger. Crono did share that they share experience of waking up in the morning to start their adventure.
  • Arusu was rather sad since there are no more Blue Slimes.
  • Speaking of slimes, Arusu found a slime that was different than those from his world, and believes it would be easy to take it down, only for it to give him a challenge.
    • When Arusu was tired out, the weird slime was revealed to be Rimuru, and Arusu admits to Rimuru that they fought like a Metal Slime rather than a regular slime. In fact, Arusu said if Rimuru had a crown, then they would be considered a Metal King Slime. But Rimuru would be fine just the way he is. But Rimuru would still love a rematch with Arusu, as long as he remembers to not underestimate him again.
  • Arusu absolutely dislikes Evil Overlords. With Darth Sidious, he was disgusted on how he corrupted Anakin Skywalker by manipulating on his destiny. He also had this feeling with Voldemort, with how on his way to seek immortality, it created dark magic.
    • At the same time, he respects Harry Potter for having the mission to bring him down.
  • With Ganondorf, his countless motives to conquer or destroy Hyrule reminds him of how his villains seek to conquer the lands.
  • Arusu has a history of fighting dragons, and there are plenty of evil dragon deities that fear him considering that he is a famous dragon slayer.
    • Bowser in particular is not afraid to take down Arusu, but he wasn’t able to last 3 minutes without him being taken down by a critical hit. Even then, Bowser still doesn’t care about Arusu and his title of being a legendary hero.
  • As for Mario, he was given respect by the red plumber. And with Link, they have a very strong bond as if they are connected for a very long time, but neither doesn’t know the exact reason. Out of all of anyone who can be considered heroes, Mario and Link are the heroes that Arusu respects the most, and they respect Arusu back.
    • Other heroes including Superman and Spider-Man don’t know what to think of Arusu. They think of him as courageous for his quest, and Arusu would love to get to know how they can be heroes in their own ways.
  • And there happens to be one more hero Arusu has sympathy for. Sora. Arusu feels bad for Sora for going through tough trials and tribulations, such as losing Kairi during the second Keyblade War, but he praises Sora for being selfless by sacrificing his own life to save her, as well as using his light in his heart to save his friends, and he would consider him a great hero next to Mario and Link.
    • That being said, he is not fond of Xehanort and how he seeked darkness against the light. Even though Arusu knows that Xehanort wanted to use Kingdom Hearts to wipe clean the world from evil and end the endless war between light and darkness, it doesn’t excuse the fact that he was the one that started the chaos all over again with Terra, Ventus and Aqua.
  • And then there’s Junko. Oh goodness, he absolutely despises Junko. She may not be an evil overlord or monster like his other enemies, but the fact that she leaves chaos even after her first killing game is what made his ticked. But the breaking point is that Junko is obsessed with despair just for fun. She may be human, but he shakes in fear in thought of what happens if she had powers like the other villains that he knows...
  • Many were anticipating his arrival for a certain tournament, and he made his entrance by saving the Luminary, the one who was the central stage for the invitation, when he was in danger, with the help of Eight and Solo, they all help take down Dharkon's forces. He also had help from the other Dragon Quest heroes, including Nine and his descendants.
  • Believe it or not, Arusu isn't the first hero to be renamed as Erdrick, that honor goes to his possible ancestor, Eleven, AKA the Luminary, whose story took place before his.

  • Did you say there's someone who needs help ASAP? Fear not, because this looks like a job for Superman!
    • Also, the GUAG will sometimes mock their enemies right before his arrival. "Look! Up in the Sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Superman!"
  • Doomed planet. Desperate scientists. Last hope. Kindly couple. These eight words abridge what may be the most well-known origin story in all of comics. When the planet Krypton was in its dying throes, the scientist, Jor-El, and his wife, Lara, were forced to make an impossible decision: send their only son, the baby Kal-El, to another planet using a small rocket. The planet they chose was Earth, whose yellow sun, opposed to Krypton's red one, Rao*, would give him incredible, superhuman abilities. Upon making its way to Earth, the rocket crashed in Smallville, Kansas, where it was found by Jonathan and Martha Kent, two farmers who adopted the young child and named him "Clark Kent". Clark eventually moved from the modest town of Smallville to the bustling city of Metropolis, where he established himself as both Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for the Daily Planet, and Superman, defender of truth, justice, and freedom.
  • Superman's adventures have been so varied and numerous that listing all of his accomplishments, allies, and his influences on the rest of the Pantheon could keep us here a while. Just watch for him when he's in one of his moods.
  • As their philosophies, color schemes, and do-gooder attitudes are very compatible, Superman meets regularly with Optimus Prime and Captain America. Rumors that they make secret plans to thwart Evil are entirely unfounded. Everyone knows that they get together to play Bridge. Whatever that is. Surely the most powerful of superheroes, the robotic Messiah, and the first Avenger can get together without making plans, right?
  • Some might mock him for being old fashioned, but his closest allies will be quick to remind him that, "I believe in you."
  • Most of the villains hate his guts, as his Super-Speed, Super-Strength, and other parts of his Superpower Lottery makes him a very persistent foe that is NOT easily gotten rid of (without a healthy dose of kryptonite of course).
  • Has fought Son Goku to test their powers many, many times with no certain conclusion, except for that one time when they were nowhere near a yellow sun. Oh, and that other time which has the distinction of being one of the greatest friendly fights in Pantheon history. After a long and grueling battle which saw the constructed Earth battlefield destroyed, with aftershocks going beyond the vast energy field of Death Battle and taking every house of the Pantheon to clean up, Superman was declared victorious.
    • They were both scolded by the latter's wife for their carelessness during the battle.
    • He has agreed to a rematch with Goku, after the latter gained his Super Saiyan God form. Every house would prepare for defenses. Luckily, Superman didn't want their battle to cause severe collateral damage like last time, so he opted to end the fight quickly and cleanly by frying Goku's brain, leaving the Saiyan with a splitting headache after it was over. Sometime after this, Goku claimed he is finished with fighting Superman because if he were to ever win, he would have nothing left to strive for.
    • It should be noted that, in contrast to the vicious rivalry amongst their fandoms, Superman and Goku are actually great friends. They enjoy food from each other's cultures, bear strong respect for each other's respective dedication to good, and have come to the other's aid against their greatest ascended foes. When the two challenged each other next, it was to a rap battle.
  • In an alternate universe, he is a tyrant—if he had just one bad day. But to Superman, this still doesn't affect his reputation. Personally, however, the vision kind of shook his conviction, realizing that he could end up the same as his tyrannical version. He's asked not just close friends like Batman, but also the likes of Captain America to either come with a backup plan or work together to keep the morale, to never let that happen, continuing to live in what he'd call "The World of Cardboard".
    • That tyrannical version of himself eventually became a motive for him to grab a shard of X-Kryptonite and take part in "The Pantheonic Rebellion".
    • And on top of that, said tyrannical version got a place in the Pantheon, much to his dismay.
    • After her ascension, he tried to keep Lois away from this version as far as possible because the last time he saw them having a romantic evening in the House of Love, Regime Superman ended up consumed by jealousy and grief over a life he could have had and kidnapped Lois and tried to kill him in an attempt to make her love him. Needless to say, Clark was not pleased and flew to the House of Fear to rescue her. Because both of them have the same level of power, their fight lasted for hours, destroying most of the house in the process. It took Regime Superman having a Villainous Breakdown after Lois declared that she would never, out of her own free will love him as he is too different from the Clark she knew, loved and respected for the Pantheon to subdue him.
  • High-Fived and became friends with Yui Kirigaya, a kind-hearted Artificial Intelligence and fellow adopted child, after finding out how the sweet little girl also kicked the ass of an otherwise-invincible monster that tried to threaten her mother. General Zod, freshly traumatized from having his face ground into a cornfield for threatening Clark's mother, now nervously whistles and quietly walks away whenever Yui appears after finding out how her ability carved those who threatened HER parents into confetti with a giant flaming sword.
  • Astonishingly, despite being called the Big Blue Boyscout, Clark doesn't own a single badge.
  • Many in the Pantheon were shocked when they noticed that Clark shares a voice base with Sephiroth. Not only that, but watching some of his old family home videos that were sent by Ma Kent, his younger self sounded like Sasuke Uchiha. When people imagine how Superman sounds like, these two are the least likely. On the other hand…
  • Once reached the ultimate form of badassery when he held both Cap's shield and Mjolnir◊ at the same time. However, many in the Pantheon were peeved when it was revealed that Supes was only able to lift the hammer because Odin lifted the 'most worthy' enchantment. Many believe the Marvel universe is too cynical to think someone from another universe would be worthy of wielding the mighty Mjolnir, though others point out that Superman is too purely good to fit the "worthiness" standards of a warrior race (albeit a noble one) like the Asgardians.note 
  • Don't question how just because he's a Kryptonian means that he's not even a man (or god, or whatever) and shouldn't care of Earthlings. Especially if you're not a human yourself. Supes' response is:
    Superman: Reality is, you are an (insert species here), I AM A MAN!!
    • While punching them in the gut.
  • Many of the Pantheon couldn't help but find his childlike wonder of still believing in Santa Claus to be admirable. He would mention how Santa would wrap his gift with lead so he couldn't peek at what's inside with his x-ray vision. Others, however, point out that it would most likely have been his parents that wrapped his gifts. He didn't listen to those people.
    • Clark was left speechless when he actually met Saint Nicolas himself. Santa mentioned how Clark is always on the top of the Nice List.
  • Contrary to how most writers may think, Clark is perfectly capable of living a normal life without his powers. In fact, his most desired dream is living a normal life as a farmer like his dad and raising a family. He is Clark Kent first and Superman second, even though he understands that for better or worse, the world will always need Superman.
  • Reminds people that he had the 'ice castle' long before Queen Elsa.
  • Doesn't stay in the House of Heroism too long as he is mostly flying around the Trope Pantheon offering assistance to anybody who needs it no matter how big or how small.
  • His relationship with Bruce Wayne/Batman tends to vary. Most times they act like friends who do bicker with each other. Other days, they act like the best of friends. Though, in the most extreme cases, the two might actually hate each other. Though, most would ignore any reality that have them acting like that.
  • Superman fully trusts Nightwing. Dick Grayson was one the first heroes to whom he revealed he had a cousin. He finds Kara's crush on Dick amusing if troubling given Dick's fame. However he heard rumors that Pre-Crisis Kara and Dick got married in an alternate future, and he wished them the best.
  • Being the All-Loving Hero that he is, he does show actual sympathy to some of his enemies. The biggest being Lex Luthor as there have been times where Clark has shown concern for the villain. Might be the fact that in at least in one reality the two were actually best friends and Lex suffered under the heel of a semi-abusive father. Of course, even Supes has his limits on how much he could tolerate Lex.
    • Has been weirded out that there are people, mostly teen girls, that actually ship him and Lex. Especially in their younger selves. Since he and Lex used to be the former Gods of Hero-Villain Subtext.
  • When General Zod ascended, the whole House of El (Superman, Supergirl, Power Girl, Jor-El, Kon-El/Superboy, and Lois Lane) declared they will NEVER kneel before Zod, no matter how much he demands it, and they WILL kick his butt before banishing him to the Phantom Zone if he tries to force them. And then the Bat-Family declared they would side with the Super-Family when he tries anything. Zod promptly shut up, but Superman knows his old enemy is merely biding his time.
  • Mongul once blackmailed Superman into fighting the Martian Manhunter and retrieving the key which gave access to Warworld. Mongul managed to steal the key and start Warworld, but he didn't expect that Superman and Supergirl would defeat him and destroy his super-weapon. Mongul declared he would take revenge on Superman and used the Black Mercy — a plant that creates an ideal fantasy world for the person it latches onto, with tearing it off as painful as tearing off one's limb — to torture him with dreams of being a family man on Krypton. After forcing himself to wake up, Superman — the ultimate nice guy — had only one thing to say to Mongul:
    Superman: BURN.
  • Mr. Mxyzptlk loves to prank Superman and see him think his way out of sticky situations. Superman is not amused by his pranks at all, but given the alternative, he is willing to put up with his jokes.
    • Proving that he doesn't understand the Man of Steel at all, he once temporarily amped Supergirl's power levels up and removed her weakness to Kryptonite to humiliate Superman. Superman's reaction was considering that maybe he should be his cousin's sidekick.
  • Admires many of the younger heroes in the Pantheon like Kouta Kazuraba, Aang, Korra, and even Steven Universe. He feels that these people are the next generation of aspiring heroes.
  • Superman and Goku once fought an enraged Yui Ikari to keep her from killing Haruhi Suzumiya. While the two powerhouses did their best to try to stop her, Yui nearly succeeded in her task but was finally stopped by her own son, Shinji Ikari. After finding out the reason for the rampage, Haruhi's constant abuse of the Reset Button on Shinji, Clark felt responsible for Shinji's plight by not realizing his suffering sooner. Though, the Third Child assures him it's not his fault. Despite the reassurance, Clark vowed to try to never let Shinji suffer again.
  • While Supes has always been seen as the ultimate Ideal Hero and has shown compassion to even his enemies, and once tried to save his killer, Doomsday, there is one person that he hates with every fiber of his Kryptonian being: Darkseid. The reason for this is because Darkseid once kidnapped and brainwashed Clark into being his personal conqueror and made him attack his own adopted planet of Earth. This action would have dire consequences as most of Earth's people would fear and mistrust him and even made one of his most trusted allies betray him. Darkseid kidnapping his cousin Kara and brainwashing her into becoming his slave didn't make Superman like him, either. Darkseid might be one of the only person that Supes would be willing to kill. But thankfully, his friends are always there to stop him.
    • To be fair, there was at least one instance where Superman killed Darkseid… with a song! Needless to say, Darkseid has not forgotten this humiliation and promises to destroy Superman and everything he holds dear.
  • Superman also utterly loathes Brainiac. During one of their battles, the green-skinned super-villain — who had previously reduced and kidnapped Kandor and dozens of alien cities — shrank and stole Metropolis, kidnapped Supergirl intending to turn her into his newest guinea pig, insulted Earth and mankind, insulted Superman for considering himself human, tried to blow the Sun and Earth up, and murdered Superman's dear foster father while planning to kill his foster mother as well. There's no telling of how many villains Superman has fantasized about going after and brutally beating to death.
    • To be fair, there was one instance where Superman actually felt compassion for Brainiac, as the Coluan had lost his family and his constant search for knowledge across the galaxy were partially motivated as an attempt to get them back. Unfortunately, Brainiac rejected Superman's mercy and reaffirmed his enmity against the Man of Steel, proving once and for all that he was well beyond redemption.
  • He wasn't happy when he heard about another member of his Rogues Gallery, Metallo, ascending. That said, Superman is pretty sure that he or his cousin can take on Corben if he makes trouble. He has been warned, though, that a Metallo nearly got them both killed in an alternate universe. Superman is also aware of the irony that his Kryptonite-powered nemesis and his cousin showed up in his world at the same time.
  • Was overjoyed when his long-time love interest Lois Lane ascended to the Pantheon.
  • Clark has been frequently asked if he can bleed, which he found amusing at first, then annoying after a while.
  • The Houses of Heroes, Love and Family had a collective celebration when Clark and Lois revealed that, against all odds, they were able to conceive a child: a boy named Jonathan Samuel Kent. It happened when Clark and Lois were involved in an event simply known as the Convergence. Jon serves as a herald for both his parents and is under protection of his father's cousin.
    • The joys just won’t stop coming for Superman and his family, as Jor-El took up residence in the Pantheon. At long last, father and son met for real and a huge celebration for the House of El ensued. Unfortunately, their relationship has been strained as of late, given Jor-El's activities as both Mr. Oz and as a member of the Circle. Further complicating things between was the fact that Jon, previously a 10-year-old, had been aged seven years in his journeys with Jor-El.
  • One day, while flying in the House of Philosophy, he heard a voice whisper "Superman...". Said voice belonged to The Iron Giant who was in awe of seeing his inspiration. Superman proceeded to have a talk with the giant and the hero was amazed to hear of the Heroic Sacrifice the Giant made, choosing to be "Superman" to save those he loved. Superman honored him as a true hero, and even made the Giant a large 'S' that the Iron Giant can adorn himself with.
  • When Superman met Statesman for the very first time, a lot of residents were hyping up on how the two were going to become best friends and tight partners-in-crime. Instead, the result turned out much more different than expected; Marcus respected Superman and his work as a superhero and the leader of the Justice League, but stated that with how villains have prospered in his world and the Pantheon, he should be doing a much better job in his work. Superman retorted by saying how Marcus isn't acting like how a traditional leader would and was sullen about how surprisingly self-centered he was about superheroics. This didn't bode too well for Marcus, but restrained himself long enough to establish a working relation with the Freedom Phalanx and the Justice League. Despite this however, Statesman and Superman aren't exactly fond of one another despite their roles as inspirational heroes who lead a team, but nonetheless would work together in regards to threats that could overwhelm them individually.

  • The Goddess of Harmony, Cosmos is the opposite force to fight against the God of Discord, Chaos. Summoning warriors across time and space, the two of them have been fighting each other with their selective champions to one day finally defeat one another. When the Pantheon was in its earliest days and the Grand United Alliance of Good was being formed, her ability to unite multiple heroes together was the deciding factor for her to be the leader of such a grand order.
    • However, there is more to Cosmos than just a beautiful deity. She is in fact a Manikin who was designed after, and has the memories of, the wife of Cid of the Lufaine, in order to keep Chaos under control. Eventually she, Chaos and Cid escaped their world through the Interdimensional Rift into "World B". There the three of them as well as the warrior Garland made a deal with the dragon deity Shinryu. As part of the pact, Cosmos became a goddess thanks to Shinryu's powers to fight in an endless loop against Chaos, with them sending warriors to be sacrificed to make Shinryu stronger with their memories and powers, as well as make Chaos stronger until he is strong enough to open the Rift again to get everyone back to their homeworld.
    • Ultimately, though, the Warriors of Cosmos started to influence her and the once-pawn of the cycle wanted to make it stop. She believed that, by giving her warriors fragments of her power as Crystals, they would unlock their true potential, and after letting herself get killed in order to break the cycle, they could defeat Chaos once and for all so that everyone could return from whence they came. Needless to say, she was successful.
    • Even though she herself is gone, her will reincarnated as Materia and Chaos' own into Spiritus when a new cycle of war suddenly popped up. While the two started fighting without knowing much of anything about their past selves, they ultimately decided to keep on fighting in more of a good spirit in order to maintain balance in World B. Cosmos hopes Materia and Spiritus will do a good job in World B without her help.
    • There has been some speculation on Cosmos' origins. The deities of the ''Persona'' universe believe the Goddess of Harmony to be an Anthropomorphic Personification of goodness itself, born when virtue first crystalized as a philosophy somewhere in the multiverse. Some Christian deities believe Cosmos to be a former angel, based on her appearance, who was unhappy with their Lord's oversight of mortals and became a deity herself to advance her own virtuous ideals. Sailor Moon has a theory that Cosmos could be Sailor Cosmos, the greatest Sailor Guardian in history, or an alternate version of her. Some of the Jedi see Cosmos as an embodiment of the Light Side of the Force. For her part, Cosmos prefers to let people know that goodness comes from within, not without.
  • Cosmos was around during the Pantheon's early days and was given the title of the Goddess of Good. At first, Eru Iluvatar was leading the GUAG but as he was not used to front-lining leadership he needed an active replacement; Cosmos volunteered to replace him and as he reviews her previous experiences, Eru considers worthy and declared her the new Leader of the Grand United Alliance of Good. They both still maintain a cordial relationship to this day. Gygax & Arneson had also arrived to the Pantheons as early as Cosmos and Eru, only slightly later than them. Cosmos and Eru are thankful for their new position as leaders of the Pantheon and they hope the two will help maintain the balance further, given their experience as dungeon masters.
  • Even though she is the leader of the GUAG, she isn't really one to fight her own battles. While she can fight, her powers mainly focus on protecting her warriors than outright fighting herself. That being said, she can give anyone the right advice to give them the morale boost they need, and if she needs to, she can bestow fragments of her powers to other warriors to make them stronger.
    • She is rather accepting when it comes to who want to join the GUAG. As long as they want to do good, she is more than willing to accept them in. But please, if you want to do some sort of divisive gambit, make sure you talk to her first. She doesn't want the events of the 12th cycle of happening again where Kain and Warrior of Light kept on slaying the other warriors to protect them from the Manikins. She also recognises, like Philemon, that people cannot be forced into doing good because to truly do so, it must be voluntary. Forcing people to join her alignment would make the GUAG hypocritical and more like the GUAL or GUAE in nature.
    • She also does fair amount of counselling to the GUAG members, mentoring them to the best of her abilities if they need it. She has heard it all from every branch of the "Good" alignment, to the most stern pacifists to the most battle-hungry heroes. She even takes the time to listen to non-GUAG members requiring soul-searching from other alliances. Jaime Lannister is one of those examples, with her giving the former Kingslayer necessary advice to break free of Cersei's toxic influence and encourage him to train in other fighting arts to humble himself.
  • To bolster her forces, Cosmos resummoned the Warriors of Light again because to her, it's better to first bring in who you know into the fray. They in turn were glad to see her and once they are informed of the bigger Forever War going on far greater than the conflict of World B, the Warriors are ready to fight for her once again. Especially the Warrior of Light, who is greatly faithful and loyal to her and Cosmos in turn sees him as a valuable servant to care for. It doesn't surprise her that Lord Chaos had also ascended at around the same time as her, with the Warriors of Chaos coming in later and gradually. Chaos claims that he'll fight her once again just like before, but so far he hasn't made much strikes against her, probably due to Melkor opposing her more and being reminded of his own mother whenever he sees her again. Either way, Cosmos is going to be watching his next step along with his warriors, especially Kefka Palazzo who had threatened World B a few times on his own and proved to be more deadly.
  • As she is the big leader, Cosmos is automatically allies with the members of the GUAG Command who are big and important members of the organization. They definitely treat each other more as equals than with a chain of command but nonetheless still defer to Cosmos as her good morals provide a true final say in whatever matter they brought up. It's a very long list, but some specific allies there had some interesting relations...
    • Cosmos kinda likes Alexander the Great's antics and believed in the "conquering by befriending together" philosophy he follows and she can hold her liquor against the finest wines, something that pleasantly surprises Alexander. She also believed in the Power of Bonds and keeps the line when Tokugawa Ieyasu is starting to stray off, and thus Ieyasu considers her a good friend. Rachel Alucard actually respects Cosmos and often decreases her snarking tendencies around her presence; although Cosmos was a little put off with her tendency of "doing things because she's bored" and wished Rachel would get serious, she still appreciates her knowledge and commands. Reed Richards is fine with her as long as she lets him do whatever he wants and Jean-Luc Picard likes her stance on morality and upholding the dignity of all beings, civilizations, and cultures, not to mention she opposes despotism and inflicting suffering on others; in fact, he was so moved, he gave a passionate speech in defense of her ideals. Lady Honor Harrington also respects her for her achievements and the fact that she was able to rally such a high number of good-aligned deities under a single banner, even plenty of anti-heroes and anti-villains.
    • Cosmos have also admired Makoto Yuki and Kotone Shiomi's tactical prowess in combat and counts on them to lead their allies old and new and in turn, the two are loyal to her as she proves to bring a breath of fresh air since Nyx and Erebus. Commander Samuel Vimes is loyal to enforcing the law and justice, not her (as he has a bit of contempt for serving any deity, even though he is one); however, he does realize the GUAE are threatening law and order, and is helping Cosmos because as a copper, it's what he supposed to do. The same goes for Captain Alex who is glad that Cosmos allows him to fight against the criminals of the Pantheons. Cosmos respects Josiah Bartlet's commitment to America, but has asked he extends his patriotism to helping all those who have been oppressed by evil which is more than fair in his opinion, and thus Bartlet has pledged his support for her. Tommy Oliver is more than willing to help Cosmos even if he wants to go back to teaching, Yoda share a close friendship with her which is maybe out of being old, Date Masamune have numerous reasons to join yet is still very loyal to her and Havelock Vetinari feels allying with her is necessary to his currently unclear plans.
  • Despite the quick assumption that Chaos is Cosmos' greatest adversary, he pales compared to Melkor. Like him, Cosmos have not met Melkor before being appointed as the leader of the GUAG and if he did, she would have one of his prime mortal enemies since Cosmos is able to juggle so many people from different backgrounds to fight primarily against him (initially). He has noticed some of the ridiculously strong deities that have sided with her, and he ups the security of his base of operations with each new addition. Melkor wants to keep and gain new members for himself in turn and while he was able to snag new ones, they pale in comparison to what Cosmos has. She surmised that his Bad Boss reputation within the GUAE has deterred new recruits from joining.
    • By virtue, Cosmos also opposes Melkor's fellow Horsemen Griffith, Majin Buu and Johan Liebert. Their depravity (Griffith and Johan especially) are deplorable and dangerous enough for Cosmos that she decided to build more morale and warnings against their terror. The other Horsemen do see her as a formidable foe after Melkor first briefed them about her, with Griffith being assured that destiny will be at his favour and not Cosmos, Majin Buu looks forward to killing her himself and Johan looks forward to demoralizing her subordinates just so he can make her despair. Other GUAE high-ranking members Cosmos are enemies with are Malebolgia and Damien Thorn, the latter of which is closer to Melkor as a honorary "son" of sorts; they too also see her as an enemy with Malebolgia finding her no better than the God he knows even though she is miles more virtuous than Him and Damien sees her as a hindrance to his mission of bringing hell on Earth.
  • Besides Melkor, Cosmos opposes the other GUA leaders YHVH, Lucifer, and Nekron because they have less-than-benevolent agendas to take over the Pantheons and for everyone involved. YHVH respects her to some degree as she has managed to unify so many heroes under one banner but the fact she oppose him still lies, which is disappointing as YHVH sees her potential on keeping Order throughout many realms. While Lucifer acknowledges her as an adversary and has no intention of losing the War of the Alliances to her, he also respects her quite a bit and has noted that if someone besides him absolutely had to be the winner of the War, he would much rather it be her than the others; because after all, she too acknowledges the dignity of sentient beings and respects their right to freedom while Melkor and YHVH are both, as he put it, "on a self-indulgent ego trip". As for Nekron, he also opposes her by virtue as she hinders their plans of omnicide.
    • Believe it or not, her biggest concern when it comes to one particular deity is not the other faction leaders, but Shinryu. She fears that with her being the head of GUAG would mean that the Forever War nature of the Pantheon could keep on making Shinryu stronger and stronger. Not only that, but she fears that Shinryu could easily depower her the moment he is bored with her. From this, it is questionable that Cosmos can even count as an Overdeity. When the Court reviewed her ascension, they determined that her power level makes her a borderline Greater Goddess, but her status as the greatest example of pure good in the Pantheon lets her keep her current rank. This makes her weaker than the other Alliance leaders, and her influence lower than theirs. When not battling, Melkor milks this power gap for all its worth.
      • Luckily, it turns out that even if he's more powerful than her and Chaos, Shinryu still doesn't stand a chance against other and more powerful deities. It's still not enough to quell her fears though, as he is allying with more villainous deities in order to stay alive and have a chance at her.
      • One could argue that Cosmos' true power comes from the GUAG, which is arguably the most powerful alliance in the Pantheon due to the power of its members (which includes several Overdeities and many Greater Gods), sheer numbers, and the loyalty many members have to Cosmos herself. Cosmos also has the favor of deities who preserve cosmic balance such as Alpheus the World-Forger, Uatu the Watcher, Eternity and several of the Endless. Despite her lack of personal power compared to the other alliance leaders, Cosmos is one of the most influential deities in the Pantheon, to a degree that even Overdeities would envy.
    • Other villains who Cosmos came to oppose are Frank Underwood and Ultraman Belial who are allied with the GUAE and the GUAD respectively. Both have seen her as a goody-two-shoes who shouldn't get in their way of their aims to conquer with Underwood privately stating that he "only prays to himself" and Belial having a sour reminder of the Ultras whenever he sees Cosmos.
  • Throughout the cycles in World B, Cosmos and Lord Chaos wage war that in some ways, preserve balance and more so when Materia and Spiritus carries on that later on with the two doing so in good spirit after defeating Shinryu together. It's why she has disdain for Kronika and her children Cetrion and Shinnok who established the conflict in their world so that it fits Kronika's idea of balance and order which she sees as a perversion to the usual good-versus-evil conflict. Not to mention that Cetrion would planned that if she were to take control of the Hourglass, it would be way too similar to the things Cosmos once tried to stop. Kronika scoffed at her as she had expected that Cosmos is too virtuous both for her own good and unfit for her ideal order, with Cetrion agreeing and called it a shame that they are not allies and Shinnok is reminded of Raiden at his most righteous when seeing her.
    • Another pair of seemingly opposite deities who are nonetheless no different than each other are the Daedric Princes Molag Bal and Meridia. Molag Bal is the closest being to a God of Evil in his world and he did numerous atrocites that disgusted Cosmos greatly, such as starting the first rape that gave rise to the first of The Undead and vampires just to spite the god of birth and death Arkay and enjoying corruption of the purest of heroes, making no better than worst of Chaos and/or Shinryu; Molag Bal likewise sees her as just like Meridia and made it very clear however grand or petty.
      • Speaking of Meridia, Cosmos and by extension many in the GUAG would rather not associate themselves with the Lady of Infinite Energies after hearing about her manipulations during Molag Bal's Planemeld and support of the Elven race called the Ayleids in the past and their resurfacing sometime around the Oblivion Crisis when one of them attempts to overthrow the Divines and as such frequently butt heads with eachother should the situation allow them to cross paths. Cosmos and the Alliance are firmly for prioritizing all life whereas Meridia would only look out for the select few, and the few are perfectly liable to be culled if she deems it necessary in some way, shape, or form. Both Cosmos and Meridia have since been common opponents of one another.
    • Cosmos then heard of the Ones, who have established the balance of the Force in their world and as expected, she got along with the Daughter for being women who championed for good. She was more than willing to let her join, while also being sympathetic towards The Daughter for having to oppose her brother. That said, The Daughter does not take direct action unless the The Son is involved. The reason is that she still wishes to fallow her father's orders, so she primarily takes a position in the GUAG Medical Division; there, she can user her Force Powers with great effect without disobeying her father. Seeing that, Cosmos is reminded of her situation with her father and creator Cid of the Lufaine and hopes to find a way to ascend him soon.
    • Kreia doesn't like Cosmos as she sees her, Melkor and their respective organizations to be either extremely naive or too temperamental for their own good, and believes that balance is the key, something that neither sides have ever accomplished throughout their yearsnote . For a time, she also considered this to be the case for good and evil and why the ideals for the heroes to be utilitarian made them inhuman (and weak for those who show mercy) and the villains to be extremely selfish. Cosmos is dismayed that the circumstances in Kreia's life caused her to view the Force very bleakly and became vigilant in case she tries to derail the entire war, but she has taken her view that the Force is dangerous with a grain of salt because who knows if the Force really does cause imbalances to all of the Pantheons.
  • As she was created in the image of Cid of the Lufaine's wife, Cosmos was redirected to Trish, a demon who is made to look like Dante's mother and Sparda's wife Eva in order to lure Dante. Unexpectedly finding a kindred spirit in a goddess who started out as a Manikin, Trish appreciates her company though she would like her more if she wasn't getting lectures in the way she's dressing. Sparda himself is also reminded of his wife when seeing her, and since Eva is currently his Herald the women do meet from time to time, which is something Sparda is very welcome to. It also helps that he has mutual respect towards the House of Heroism and he's partnered with the Sacred Knights.
  • In terms of really close friends, they tend to be other high-end gods who are God of Good, at least in their setting. Aside from Eru, The Monitor and Ahura Mazda have provided big help towards the GUAG with the former being more willing to bring in villains and other morally grey beings should Cosmos is unable to call them in. Like Eru, Gan takes a hands-off approach in helping the GUAG and counts on Cosmos in doing the rest; the same goes for Dream of the Endless and he'll intervene to help her should the forces of evil become to powerful to handle like the aforementioned Barbatos. Mata Nui and Philemon are also strong allies of Cosmos in the Pantheons, with Mata Nui preferring her presence over YHVH's and Philemon was initially distrusted by her until Tatsuya Suou's intervention forced him to better himself which Cosmos hopes he'll stay on the right track.
  • Cosmos had recently helped Captain America in re-establishing the House of Defense as a non-partisan force dedicated to rescuing innocent civilians and minimizing property damage. The first among them are chaos, the Protectors of the Plot Continuum, Aang, Amaterasu and Athena. chaos respects those who are willing to sacrifice themselves for the good of humanity or all of creation and she is an example of that though he did have some initial confusion over her name which are somewhat similarnote  that he managed to quickly cleared up. Cosmos also has a diplomatic alliance with the PPC and supports their endeavors in their mission to maintain the continuum and that they'll make it in spite of their dysfunctional work environment, her relations with Aang go back to the Pantheonic Rebellion and has strengthen since because of their shared desire to protect all of the living and the same goes with Amaterasu and Athena though the latter is a little harder to work with considering some of her questionable actions.
    • Related to her alliance with the PPC, Cosmos started to oppose Barbatos, the Anti-Monitor and the Nothing for being threats to all of fiction and its inhabitants once they warn her of their threats. Barbatos taunts her and vows to pull the Pantheons into the Dark Multiverse with her helpless, the Anti-Monitor also vowing to destroy everything even fiction that it took Cosmos and the other GUA Leaders to beat him together the first time round and the Nothing also poses a similar threat which is why she asks her allies to survey the Gmork (the Nothing's Herald) to look out for potential dangerous moves.
  • She's also grateful to Haruhi Suzumiya and Ugo for helping maintaining balance in the Pantheon and help sorting the ranks respectively. At least until Whis then came along, but Cosmos knows Haruhi ultimately wants to have fun even if it costs a bad day for everyone around her. Ugo was at first intimidated by Cosmos' noticeable physique which she initially found amusing but as time and time went on, he got used to it to the point that he's surprised that he managed to overlook his one fear and see Cosmos for the person she is.
  • The two most powerful heroes ever, Superman and Son Goku are ecstatic to see a leader of good running the alliance and praises her virtue which she is flattered by. Once they hear her backstory, they gave her full support for her and decided to fight alongside her against future threats. This also extends to the Dragon Team, Goku's allies who noticed that she's more proactive than Shenron and while Shenron is a big help, Cosmos gives them help way more often instead. Other champions of good like the dragon Bahamut and the paladin Artix von Krieger also pledge to fight alongside Cosmos, with the former's bond with her strengthen during the Pantheonic Rebellion like what Aang also did and the latter asking her for approval to form the GUAG Sacred Knights; she did and he's forever grateful for that, not to also mention that she praises his triumph of moving past his origin of being the Champion of Darkness.
  • As she is involved in cycles of time loops, Cosmos has given help to the Pantheonic Time Police and their endeavours even if she hasn't traveled through time yet. She has however praised Clank and the Doctor for their actions in preserving time, even if for the latter his companions mostly make the messes; the Doctor in turn often helps Cosmos on occasion should she needs his help. She has also been critical of the Dahaka for being relentless against enemies of time with extreme prejudice and Homura Akemi not for the loops but for taking away Madoka Kaname's powers, but she's more sympathetic towards the latter as she can understand wanting to save Madoka who is very dear to her heart.
  • Oddly enough, Cosmos managed to strike up a friendship with Mr. Satan, who faked his powerful appearance for a good show but is nevertheless a good person. She does help keep up his facade to those who are not aware of his true nature which is a sentiment that Mr. Satan is very grateful for. Like everybody else, Cosmos deeply respects Mr. Fred Rogers as his boundless kindness and gentle nature has touched the hearts of many; Mr. Rogers is at first weirded out by her existence but later on welcomes her presence as she is only a powerful being dedicated to championing good morals and benevolence.
  • Gandalf met with Cosmos to discuss his entry into the Grand United Alliance Of Good, and believes her a fine lady deserving of every ounce of respect she gets, even comparing her to the Lady of Lórien, Galadriel; they parted on good terms and maintain a close professional relationship in their war against Melkor. Madoka also managed to befriend Cosmos, who felt very bad for her after Homura took away her strongest powers; Madoka tells her that Homura should not be blamed any further, which she agrees and they both continue to discuss methods on how to get Homura to open up more about her honest feelings, not just to get Madoka her powers back but to prevent another Pantheon-wide event by her hands.
    • The young Illyasviel and Asia Argento also befriended Cosmos and see her as a very reliable adult with Cosmos understanding her Darkand Troubled Past and holds a Big Sister Instinct towards her, similar to Issei and will go Mama Bear if she gets hurt though not to the extent of Issei going berserk. After inviting little Illya for ice cream (who initially hesitated), Cosmos heard out Illya's story, shocked that there's little to none parental supervision in her world so she asks Illya to come to her whenever there's any big trouble ahead which Illya takes to heart though she herself is also concerned of Cosmos' safety as well.
  • A lot of the neutral-leaning or insincere heroes distrust Cosmos, as she is easily seen as a "goody-two-shoes" who shouldn't be questioning their morality when she hadn't made any harder decisions during her time in the cycles herself, ignoring the fact that sacrificing herself to defeat Lord Chaos is already a hard decision. Lelouch vi Britannia, while still maintaining a strictly professional relationship with Cosmos is of the opinion that she should have made more heart-breaking decisions and while she wants to agree, she can't because there are some lines she wouldn't cross too far. The Hero Killer Stain actually have high praises for Cosmos as he sees her as much of a virtuous paragon as All Might and wishes all other heroes who disagreed with her would follow her example; Cosmos can't agree with that, because even if she disagrees with the same neutral-leaning heroes she wouldn't go out of their way to change their mind by force and plus, Stain killed just to prove his point which earns bad points in her eyes.
    • As Eren Yeager slowly makes harsher decisions to the point that he's willing to turn against humanity in order to keep his loved ones safe, Cosmos can only hope that he'll come to see that it can't be the only way. The Anti-Hero Spawn is very jaded towards Cosmos as he has sour memories towards his world's own God who was a bit of a jerk that only tried to help him way later and thinks Cosmos is the same as him; of course, that's not true and Cosmos sympathizes his state as he has no way to properly redeem his sins of slaughtering various people while serving a monstrous devil like Malebolgia.
  • Cosmos may be nice enough to give most villains a chance, but not the Nyarlathotep from the world of order versus chaos and Professor Hojo. Nyarlathotep is the embodiment of humanity's evil a seeks to drag humans down to their destruction to prove the point of his existence and Hojo came from Cloud and Tifa's world, causing so many problems that shape them and Sephiroth to this day. The bad guys themselves scoff at Cosmos' righteousness with Nyarlathotep even taunting her that it's pointless to fight for humans and their innate goodness since they will ultimately be selfish again and Hojo vows to revive Jenova yet again just so he can hope to even beat her and carry on with his experiments.
  • The Daughter warns Cosmos the threats of Emperor Sheev Palpatine and the Siths, the former having a galaxy-wide agenda of ruling the entire galaxy under his tyrannical fist and the latter individuals having their own agendas to pose problems to innocents; Cosmos accepts these precautions as their potential imbalance to the Force might affect everyone else badly. Palpatine himself scoffs at the goddess but he's intrigued at the abundance amount of champions she rallied, and considered coaxing a few of them to turn evil just to rub it in her face. Darth Vader, and by extension the 501st Legion of Stormtroopers are a little contentious with Cosmos; the Stormtroopers are more okay with working for her but Vader is in hot water for his previous actions both in the name of his loved ones and the Empire. Cosmos is willing to give him another chance but so far Anakin isn't really too interested in getting her approval as long as he keeps atoning for his past sins.
  • As for more conflicting alliances, Cosmos is off-put by both Zen'os' childishness mixed with absolute power and she, Aslan and occasionally Q are trying to teach them to use their power more responsibly. Even if once she heard that Zen'o only wanted to teach mortals about the importance of agency, Cosmos thinks it was still reckless regardless. For Dr. Manhattan, Cosmos hopes that he once again fight for good even if he nearly extinguished the existences of the JLA and LSH as he had been a big help for the GUAG and the Superhero Division; so far, no luck and it seems less likely that he'll ever consider rejoining.
  • Cosmos is taking the threat Perpetua poses very seriously and is holding discussions with the leaders of the GUAG Superhero Division, the Pantheonic Time Police and other advisors in the GUAG Command such as Ghaleon and Robin to formulate strategies and possible alliances to counter this threat. The Goddess of Harmony sees Perpetua as something like a horrific combination of Darkseid, Shinryu and Kronika, able to grow in power through constant conflict with the goal of twisting all of time and existence into a nightmarish parody serving her hideous goals alone. Cosmos knows that beings from the Dark Multiverse could be one possible solution to fight Perpetua, but considers this to be a last resort.
  • About once a month, Cosmos arranges a modest tea party at her palace with several select deities she counts as friends. Regular guests at these parties include Asia Argento, Illyasviel von Einzbern (PRISMA ILLYA), Madoka Kaname, Rachel Alucard, Belldandy and Amaterasu. For the Goddess of Harmony, the tea parties are casual affairs where the guests can relax, talk freely and hear the latest news within the Pantheon.
  • Few realize that Cosmos is possibly the most influential deity in the Pantheon, which allows her control over roughly a third of the Pantheon itself. Here's why...
    • She is the patron deity of every heroic deity from the Final Fantasy franchise, a highly diverse universe of knowledge, magic, power and technology.
    • She is Eru Ilúvatar's chosen successor as leader of the GUAG. As a result of this connection, Cosmos is also an honorary member of the Valar, a very powerful Council of Angels. This is actually one reason why Melkor has grown to hate Cosmos with a passion. As Melkor's diametric opposite, Cosmos also has the allegiance of the heroic deities of Tolkien's Legendarium.
    • Amaterasu is one of her closest allies. Through her, many heroic deities from Japan (anime, manga, tokusatsu, etc.) have befriended Cosmos.
    • Through Square Enix's partnership with Disney, Cosmos added heroic deities from Disney's franchises to her long list of allies, including Mickey Mouse, Luke Skywalker, Captain America and many, many others.
    • Her allies control the Houses of Childhood and Adolescence, Communities and Solitude, Magic and Sorcery, Power and Abilities, Royalty and School, giving Cosmos a great deal of quiet influence over the Pantheon as a whole.
    • As the most trusted deity residing in the Main House, Cosmos is usually chosen to personally welcome new deities into the Pantheon, allowing her to give a good first impression to potential new allies.
    • In the aftermath of the Pantheonic Rebellion, the GUAG has reorganized itself to become more focused and cohesive as an organization. Because of this and the fact that the GUAG has numerous members throughout the Pantheon, Cosmos currently leads a multiversal N.G.O. Superpower.
    • She is the leader of the Pantheon's most trustworthy faction, which has received requests to guard or watch over persons and objects of interest in the Pantheon. Among such charges are SCP-239, an all-powerful child, and the Super Dimensional Fortress One. Because of this, the GUAG has access to resources their many enemies can only dream of having.
    • She is a Magnetic Hero with the entire GUAG as her Character-Magnetic Team. Across countless universes, from superheroes to knights, from aliens to robots, from nations of the past to futuristic civilizations, Cosmos has gathered all of them under a single banner and most of them are very loyal to her cause and each other. Ironically, Cosmos may be in a better position to conquer the Pantheon than her enemies!

  • During the time Son Goku and the Z-Warriors' adventures had taken them off to an alien planet, the 24th World Martial Arts Tournament took place on Earth. A man named Mr. Satan stepped in and combined incredible fighting prowess and charismatic showmanship to win the tournament. Unlike Goku and his strongest foes, however, Mr. Satan and his competition at the time had no ki-based powers or techniques at their disposal.
  • Essentially a big fish in a small martial arts pond, Mr. Satan quickly became a figure of embarrassment to those who know better once they met him at the Cell Games. However, he's actually pretty cunning when it comes to maintaining his image among the unwashed masses, not to mention capitalizing on occasional bouts of fortune. After being eliminated effortlessly by Cell, he cleverly played up excuses about trick explosives and stomachaches to justify the loss in the eyes of his adoring fans, and even took advantage of TV equipment short-circuits and power-induced sandstorms that clouded the view of the battle in order to claim to the public that he returned to action and took down Cell himself, becoming known as the world's hero in the process.
  • Despite being a greedy, lying, skirt-chasing coward and opportunist falling far short of heroic fearlessness, he is still a fundamentally decent, sensitive and kind-hearted human being who wants to make the world a better place and will step up and show moments of tremendous heart and courage when his family, friends, and followers are threatened by evil. His willingness to do good in spite of his cowardice and incompetence against superpowered enemies is enough to earn Piccolo's respect and approval as the "True Champion of the World", effectively declaring him the bravest of all the Z-Warriors. It also caused the heroic members of the Court of the Gods to decide not only to appoint him into the Pantheon, but to declare the Fake Ultimate Hero a worthy substitute as a Paragon of Hope.
    • To wit, his critics-turned-friends first saw these qualities when he risked his life to get Android 16's severed head near Gohan, which led to Gohan's transformation to Super Saiyan 2, AKA Goku's trump card to beat Cell, finally being triggered. Later, he embarked on a brave plan to blow up Fat Majin Buu while pretending to be his friend, but ended up convincing him to stop killing and destroying things instead and then befriending him for real. This led to the goodness implanted in Buu through the Grand Supreme Kai and the pure spirit of destruction that was Buu, in the beginning, becoming separated into two forces, and he and the good Buu wound up playing a major role in evil Kid Buu's defeat on the Sacred World of the Kai. Prominently, he has saved the lives of his pet dog Bee, Vegeta, and even Majin Buu.
  • While his Earth's fans are the only ones in his world to whom he's not Overshadowed by Awesome, there's a handful of normal deities in the Pantheon who genuinely recognize and respect his skills. Among normal combatants, as in those without superpowers, magic, ki skills, high-tech enhancements, super suits, or anything of the sort, he is considered an incredible fighter. He legitimately won his first World Martial Arts Tournament, and defeated every non-powered opponent he faced in all the World Tournaments he appeared in since then. Even dangerously armed criminals are no match for him if they or their weapons aren't somehow enhanced. Again, that's how he became the champion of the world while Goku and the rest of the Z-Warriors were out.
  • Mr. Satan was once a young aspiring fighter named Mark before he started attending the fighting dojo, Satan Castle. (In kana, that would be maaku, which is an anagram of Akuma, which is, you guessed it, is Japanese for "devil".) He quickly rose up the ranks via considerable fighting skill and a fair amount of good luck (i.e. his main rival getting food poisoning), soon becoming the dojo's strongest fighter and earning its title as his public name.
  • Sometimes he will perform or compete under the alternate name Hercule, a nickname people had started calling him at the dojo before his Mr. Satan title was confirmed. This is to avoid any confusion with the Abrahamic Devil when performing for more PG or anti-Son of Dawn audiences, and deities who have trouble with some version of Satan/Lucifer (such as Rin Okumura, who otherwise finds him entertaining) tend to primarily refer to him as Hercule. However, some pockets of these audiences understand the history on both ends and thus accept both professional names, occasionally bestowing him with the full moniker of Hercule Satan.
  • In a multiverse where death itself is treated as an inconvenience, Mr. Satan stands out as having Plot Armor so thick he could probably survive getting hit by a nuke through some improbable circumstance. You would think that getting fly-swatted by Cell and attempting to murder Buu via video games would get him killed. And you would be wrong. Prior to meeting Beerus and Whis and getting closely acquainted with the Dragon World's gods, Mr. Satan, Fortuneteller Baba, and Shin have the rare distinction of being the only prominent figures in Goku's world-saving adventures to never die.
  • His head has occasionally appeared as though it was too big for his body. This depends on the moment and what type of condition he's in.
  • He is frequently credited as stronger than any other professional fighter on his Earth, although this usually does not bother any of its actual superhuman heroes, who prefer staying out of the spotlight and living simply to having their world-saving ventures be recognized. However, a few characters are not above blackmailing him about the secret, and after he becomes friends with the Z-Warriors he himself will go out of his way to treat them to money and feasts as his own way of personally thanking them for all they've done.
  • At the age of 57, Mr. Satan retired from the world of martial arts. His official reason for retiring is to give the next generation a chance. However, the truth is that it became impossible for him to continue rigging the tournament without his partner Majin Buu.
  • Mr. Satan ended up being very active as a movie star. Appearing in all sorts of films, he played the role of various types of characters in everything from romance films to action flicks.
    • The film "Satan Legend" starring Mr. Satan was released, which, while it did not do well at the box office, it nevertheless, gained a cult-like popularity among different parts of the world for the special effects which were used to emulate Goku and his friends' techniques in order to fight against the movie's antagonists.
  • Mr. Satan is an incredibly sensitive soul who was able to shed tears for a demon who wiped out the human race, and on top of that had faith that Buu could become a better person. As seen above, that faith was justified.
  • When Trunks won the junior tournament and got an exhibition match against Mr. Satan, Hercule gave him a free shot. He purposely let himself get punched clear out of the ring, as he intended to throw the fight from the start and even tells his assistant that he wouldn't fight a child.
    • Along with not hurting Kid Trunks in their battle, he also comforts some of the losing children of the kids tournament when they start to get upset.
    • Taken into consideration how well he treats his family and children in general, despite how arrogant and chauvinistic he may be, Mr. Satan is very well received and welcomed by every good God in the Pantheon house for Relatives and Family, specifically Piccolo and Edward Newgate.
    • Even Asura is on good terms with him but is annoyed with the fact that Mr. Satan declines every invitation Asura gives him for a friendly battle, after hearing how strong he supposedly is.
  • Even without powers like Goku and his friends, he's helped save the universe twice during the Majin Buu saga. Aside from convincing Buu that killing was wrong, he also used his popularity to help collect the energy of Earth's inhabitants for the Spirit Bomb.
  • After finding similarities in their jobs and personalities, Mr. Satan and Axel have become friends. Black☆Star also enjoys hamming it up with him about being the strongest or the greatest, sometimes good-naturedly against one another but other times both pretending Black☆Star is Hercule's strongest pupil.
  • Hercule had a run-in with Dan Hibiki one time in France, and they engaged in a battle for one minute. Hercule won that fight, though he did get KO'd later by Dan's falling body. They eventually had a rematch in an official DEATH BATTLE! where Hercule won again. That said, he did apologize for accidentally making Dan explode from swallowing a jukebox… after he changed pants. This show of ability "corrected" his power level from Quasideity to Demigod.
  • The incredulity of his tall tales in the Dragon World has ascended to the point he's claiming he defeated "the Fearsome Beebus" and became a Physical God whose power lies well beyond that of a God of Destruction. Aghanim's Scepter is capable of making that a reality for 30 seconds at a time, but he has yet to test this new power out against Beerus or someone similar to see how strong he really is.
  • Ever since the events of Dragon Ball Xenoverse, he's not allowed anywhere near any evil deities that can use dark magic or any dark magic artifacts. Long story short, Time Travel and demons were involved somehow, Goku and Cell were fighting, yadda yadda yadda… Basically, the last time he got involved with black magic stuff… things got weird.
