Pantheon / GUAG Protectorate Union

Go To

Whether it's the work of a bad guy causing trouble where the GUAG stand, or perhaps misfortune has brought distress to innocents among them, the GUAG's Protectorate Union dedicates their time and energy to protecting their people from danger, disaster, or dastardly motives. Even with the Alliances being at an overall ceasefire, the need to save others from the various chaotic events in the Pantheon, or perhaps handling a villain, whether from the GUAE or not, that has overstepped their boundaries. As much as plenty from this sub-faction would love to go further and quash all villainy with the Pantheon, past Pantheon conflicts have not only proven such efforts to be vain, but also neglectful of the people and deities around them that would appreciate their heroics. Despite these limitations on how they can interfere with other Alliances, the Pantheon is still filled with plenty of events without Alliance involvement that would necessitate such heroic services.

Son Goku, God of Super Modes and Co-God of the Kamehame Hadoken (Son Gokou, Son Gokuh, Son Gokuu, Kakarot, Kakarrot, Kakarotto, Carrot Cake, Son-Kuh, Son-Kun, The Hope of the Universe, Number One)

  • Greater God, Overdeity with Ultra Instinct or when fused

  • Symbol: A 4-Star Dragon Ball with his iconic hairdo; alternatively, the "Go"/悟 kanji on his gi

  • Alignment: Chaotic Good

  • Reason for Joining: When Superman was trying to think of who would be the best fit for a revamped GUAG, he instantly thought of the most legendary hero in all of anime and manga. After he was promised that the position was more of a roster to call in case of an emergency rather than a full-time job, the saiyan agreed to join to protect the innocent and uphold peace and justice. While Goku is battle-hungry and sometimes gives his enemies too much leeway, he is mindful of collateral damage and is always willing to give people a second chance. His popularity throughout fiction and real life also makes him a great mascot for the organization.

  • Cooperation Ability: While it has been said that Goku usually wins against villains solo, this ignites his teamwork with others to make those victories a reality. Goku is naturally an easy-going person who is willing to join forces with anyone so long as they have the right intentions in their heart. And while he is more of an improviser than a strategist, he is a surprisingly good teacher and does his best to help his allies break through their limits.

  • Role: In the broadest sense of the term, Goku is a high-power combat asset, which means that he fights high-powered threats that everyone else has very little chance of even touching. However, this does not fully encompass the usual way that Goku comes into the picture. For one reason or another, given any group or sequence of villains, Goku always finds himself facing the most powerful foe while others fight the weaker enemies. Either way, Soku is often one of the last resort options for fighting strong villains, especially those with high amounts of fighting skill.
