- For the first time in all the Bond franchise, M's life is directly threatened.
- The buzzsaw helicopters manage to approach Zukovsky's factory without Bond noticing and start chasing him.
- Bond is strapped to a medieval torture chair by Elektra, who intends to slowly break his neck's bones.
- The Cigar Girl's absolutely terrified and despairing delivery of "Not from him!" before she blows herself up very effectively sets Renard up as The Dreaded.
