Nightmare Fuel / The Story of Adèle H

• Being stalked by a mentally unstable woman who is cunning enough to try and ruin your life and relationships falls under this trope. Because Adèle is mentally ill, she cannot be convinced to give up on her obsessive love for Pinson, and resorts to more and more destructive (and even illegal) measures to try and win him back - or to ruin his engagements to any other woman. And since she is financially supported by her wealthy father, she has the funds to continue this stalking campaign for a whole year (in the film).
