Nightmare Fuel / The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015)

  • The movie takes a hard left turn with Uncle Rudi's torture of Napoleon Solo by strapping him into a chair and electrocuting him. But before he does that, he takes the time to show Solo his scrapbook of previous torture sessions he took part in during World War II. The entire time, he speaks with such loving pride of his sadistic work and you can see the growing horror in the usually calm and composed Solo's eyes when he realizes what a lunatic Rudi truly is. And then, the torture starts...
    • When Illya showed up, it doesn't end well either.
    • Napoleon then takes time out and talks to Illya about how some people outside of the fascists wants people like Uncle Rudi to work for them.
  • Illya Kuryakin's back story. His father was arrested and sent to die in a Gulag when Illya was 10 years old, his mother became "extremely popular among [his] father's friends" (read: became a prostitute for them), and as a result of the emotional trauma Illya started having psychotic episodes.
